Like others, I choose to skip any postings that don't interest me, such as jokes that have appeared before, recipes, American sport, people's music preferences, etc. Even so, there are times when I feel as though I'm eavesdropping on private conversations and I think perhaps this is one reason why More...
My shredded wheat box was empty this morning so I had a toasted egg sandwich, done in a sandwich toaster - just how does one get to keep the yolk runny but the white cooked? I will have to ponder this as mine was well cooked all the way through.
It is sunday morning here and I can just see a More...

Two engineers were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up. A blonde walked by and asks what they are doing.

The First engineer said: 'We're supposed to find the height of this flagpole, but we don't have a ladder'

The blonde took a spanner from her purse, loosened a More...
GannieMo - I can hear the dismay in your words with regards to your egg yolk hardening, I shall ponder with you...I, on the other hand, had a ham, cheese and tomato toasted croissant before seeing 'An Inconvenient Truth' - which was food for thought, to the Americans out there, has the film been well received in the States? It's doing well here...
Well, just about to go and shower the dirt off as I've just trimmed my lawns and mowed them and this morning I dusted, cleaned, polished, mopped (haven't go around to the vacuum cleaning yet, though, have to leave something for tomorrow). So if anyone wants to call in for a cuppa, feel free, you're More...
ganniemo i am surprised nay shocked as i thought everybody in frogland had a croissant and a black coffee in what looks like a small mixing bowl, for brekky and now you tell me this isn't so.Here in West Oz I enjoy a cooked brekky, generally something light like a baked possum or a small kanga on More...

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, 'Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.' The man said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I More...
Thats not bad frommie. Go the wiggles eh?
Oh, bugger, bugger, bugger. Keith doesn't like anonymus posters. So sorry mate. That last one from Dotty was me. Ohhhh, almost forgot the obligatory ROFL, LOL, tee hee.
Pammie - most french do but as I am a Brit I yearn for other things.
I do not go to the Boulangerie in the morning 'cos he makes hot almond croissants filled with marzipan and flaked almonds and if there is one thing I cannot resist it is temptation
I look forward to my breakfast Oz style when I arrive next month - but please do NOT insist I go on a bush tucker trip the thought of that could really put me on a diet
Hi everyone, just got off the phone from mum and they are having a wonderful time in New Zealand, COL mum sends her congrats she said he must have been very good.
Well they did not get onto the helicopter because in mums words its was 'pppiiisssiiinnnggg' down with rain, More...
can you just describe the croissants again for me, my mouth is watering. drool drool
Anne - on the shelf next to the hot almond croissants they have a long thin (about 8 inches long by 2 inches wide) goody that is flaky pastry filled with a mixture of chocolate and marzipan. It is difficult to make choices like that some days. The long ones are wonderful dipped into your 'mixing bowl' of hot chocolate.
Oh, my mouth is watering. You are torturing me GannieMo. I love almond flavoured cakes and pastries. And add chocolate, what more could one want.
Lauren - If Gath ever censures me again for using that word, I shall just refer him to you.
no no no beehive- lauren was very careful to tell us that it was Rose's words. Amazing what you can get away with when mum's in NZ isn't it?
I dunno Col, I just can't picture Rose saying that. She has made it very clear in the past that she is against language of that sort. Still, if Rose deems it acceptable, maybe Lord Gath will remove it from the, 'Use this and you are banned for a week' list.
And I can just see him ROFLing about that.
Hi Every1

Hi Everyone,

Hope your weekend was great. My sister is getting married in 2 weeks, so we had the buck's party on Saturday night. Huge day/night, and now everyone is looking forward to the big day.

Jaz - As far as I can recollect it's always been in the spring - ie about now. they have planted over a million bulbs this year - impressive.

CP - did you enjoy and did they charge you?
Hello Gath - nice to hear that you had such a lovely weekend and I hope the big day in two weeks is even better.
Where do these pictures behind the puzzles come from? Can't we get some better pictures?
Awwwwww Nice Dog .. :D
Buzzy, well those Weagles, they dun us proud. If they win next weekend I think I really might try that Emu Beer Bum recipe but it does sound like a bit of a waste of beer. The old heave ho's didn't do too bad either.Bit sorry to see the Dogs go down but that's the way it is and the joy they gave so More...

More on unfortunate shredded wheat and psychotic shredder tomorrow. I'm off to bed. Good night to all who are pyjama clad.
Just watched Channel 7's 50th birthday bash. What a load of rubbish. Molly's death in 'A Country Practice' made it in to the top 20 of big/huge/important moments. How pathetic is that? Mark and I wondered why Beaconsfield wasn't there then remembered Channel 9 had the rights to that. All in all the More...
