Wonderful perspective on the picture. It looks for all the world like an enormous glass sculpture rising out of the desert.

I went golfing yesterday to establish a golf handicap for a couple's league hubby and I are joining next Spring. (Actually, it is the first time I've played golf this year.) Unfortunately, hubby played too well and our handicap is lower than my ability - which is at the bottom. Hope he'll keep us afloat!

Arachnid, The answers to Peter's ECCO puzzle(s) should be submitted to Peter, via a 'private message', accessed from his page.

While a submission isn't really necessary, it let him know that his efforts, in creating the puzzle are appreciated...

The preceding goes for all puzzles posted on the site, unless the poster says otherwise...

Morning all,I'm back to see what has been happening while I've been snoozing.
19/Oct/17 6:01 AM
Bev, I too thought it was a statue untill the caption mentioned the hummingbird.

Came back to see if ... oh bother.

Not too many ECCO poozlers this week. Joyce, Sarah, Judy and Wombat. Might even be an Arachnid in there somewhere but I haven't seen it yet.

19/Oct/17 8:21 AM
I agree with others on the excellent job by the photographer!

I step on arachnids first ... and ask questions later ...

Not even in the 1970's.

There's a suction cup holding the feeder, but that must the cleanest window in history! It is totally invisible, not a streak or a dust mote or anything anywhere on it.
19/Oct/17 10:10 AM
And how is the feeder refilled? The window is above street level, since we see tops of cars out there. Maybe it is one of those tilt-in or swing-in windows made to be easy to clean the outside surface.
19/Oct/17 10:12 AM
I am totally baffled. I just noticed that what I took to be the window sill disappears to the left, so it is not a window sill. This reminds me of the photo that made me finally get around to becoming a member way back in the olden days - but in that case I was not one of the people confused by the photo, but the explainer.

Judy that comment has crushed me

'Twas the photos that sucked me in, too, Sarah. Unfortunately I can't add further to explanations of this photo. It is certainly clever, though.
19/Oct/17 2:30 PM
1:00 even, the closest I've ever got to breaking the one minute barrier! Good afternoon everyone.
19/Oct/17 2:45 PM
I came back to see if any smart person had figured out what the suction cup is attached TO that is holding up the feeder.
19/Oct/17 4:26 PM
Sarah, what you took for a window sill is, I think, the roof of a 'caravan' with air conditioner and perhaps the air con unit of another caravan parked beyond the first. It also looks like an awning in the foreground, lower right. Definitely an interesting picture...
19/Oct/17 4:27 PM
I'll vote for a very clean window.
