Glinda, enjoyed your performance in OZ last night. Very pretty dress and the hair was to die for.

Good mAen world!
Just realized that I had not worked the puzzle, so had to remedy that.
Looks like the baby swans (cygnets?) are pigeon-toed. Nice picture. I've never seen many swans and I don't think ever a black one.
Enjoyed the "free hugs" video. Also wondered if they would ever give away any hugs. Wonder if they would have here??? Small town USA.

The three dreams of a man:

1. To be as handsome as his mother thinks.
2. To be as rich as his child believes.
3. To have as many women as his wife suspects...

Well I watched the England match. Have to say England were appalling. If we qualify it will be a miracle. Still I had a tomato sandwich which made up for it. (I know, I know it is an exciting life I lead!!).

Hazel - they might be more likely to give hugs away in Silsbee than in big-city Texas! Though you might not see the country boys hugging each other too much!!

Agreed André. So much for Rule Britannia. Time to pack their bags and go home.
19/Jun/10 8:43 AM
Andre - without looking at anything and just listening to sports radio, it sounds as if the division with England and the U.S. is wide open depending on the outcomes next week?

Good morning. Checking in after a late breakfast and reading of the newspaper.

Jamie - that was wonderful. We can all do with a hug now and then. Hugs to all!
Black swans - symbol of Western Australia. I'm sure Rolanda can fill you all in on them.

Andre, we have been enjoying fresh home grown tomatoes here, and know what you mean. Yum, yum.

I took MIL a bacon and tomato sandwich last night for supper and that is one of the few things she truly seemed to enjoy in a number of weeks. She is in nursing home until she gets her strength More...

1:48 Good morning all.
Ah, the beautiful black swan.
I've just been to watch my grandson, Johnathan, play Auskick (children's Australian Rules football) this morning. They are quite funny to watch at that age. He actually won the weekly voucher award so that was lovely.

One of mine. At present , the black swans are in abundance and the cygnets are almost fullgrown with just a few flecks of grey left. There are more black swans in Tasmania than WA where their habitat seems to have been affected more. There are large areas of mudflats in the Derwent where they breed.

1.36 There once was an ugly duckling,
With feathers all stubby and brown
And the other birds said in so many words
Get out of town
Get out, get out, get out of town

19/Jun/10 8:51 PM
Jamie if that is breaking site rules then we are in a sad and sorry demise.
Hugs to all!
