Good morning wolf and all who follow. Don't forget to check out yesterday's posts!
Also look out for the 11am (site time) poole.

Hot & sunny!
Trying to decide whether to brave the afternoon heat at the A2 Art Fair.
(Maybe I'll see Plum if I go!)

Wow, we are well into the afternoon on the east coast of the US, and still so few comments. Two babies today, on Easy and Medium. Parent's Page, anyone? I agree that, at least, they are great baby photos.

Good Maen, good people. I am, indeed, at the Ann Arbor Art Festival today. On State Street between E Williams and University, Shiela. Until 5 pm. Then I'm heading home to deal with the worried owner of a sick cat.

Love the face, and the smile that goes with it!

Had to take my brother to the airport, he had come down for the funeral of our cousin. Michelle suffered slight brain damage when she was four years old and became the sweetest most loving person you could ever wish to meet, everyone in the family got a big hug whenever you saw her.

Amelia - Good memories help balance the sorrow. Condolences.

I haven't seen Shiela yet.

So I'll nab today's 22 and keep my eyes peeled for the next 15 minutes.

1:28. Good morning from a chilly Canberra everyone, it's warmed up a little to -4°C outside, but a little better than the predicted -6°!

Are you going to Chug a Lug on to 33 Hal? That might help me get to 44.

There are so many beer related expressions, but none of them imply moving forward. How many Aussies remember Norm and his 'Warm the set and cool the tinnies'?
21/Jul/17 9:03 AM
 |  |

For our non Aussie mates, 'Warm the set an cool the tinnies' = Turn on the TV and grab a beer.

It was a more fashionable expression in the days of valve TV sets that took a while to warm up......y'know, back in Wombat's day.

Thanks Peter, It did need a bit of explanation. Norm was a 'normal Australian' and a keen sportsman, he'd sit and watch any sport while he sank a tinnie. It was part of a 'Life be in It' campaign to promote physical activity. Typical Aussie humour where you lampoon yourself.
21/Jul/17 10:14 AM
 |  |

Peter's reference to 'valve' TV may have confused some. A valve is what we called a tube.
21/Jul/17 10:26 AM
 |  |

Wombat, without the lead up I would have guessed that 'sink a tinnie' would have meant torpedoing a submarine.
21/Jul/17 10:26 AM
 |  |

I'm not sure that Peter would sympathise with that interpretation Plum. Just half an hour to the ECCO Speed Poozle.

This is a speed challenge, but also a test of how many are interested.
It is an ECCO puzzle about flowers. Don’t forget that the last letter of each word is the first letter of the next. The number of letters are indicated.

Wombat - I've solved it.
21/Jul/17 11:07 AM

Oh Lookee, I've just staggered onto 33. Ba Moui Ba
21/Jul/17 11:08 AM
 |  |

And I got 33, too.
21/Jul/17 11:08 AM

You had better post the results then Plum. Not that I don't trust you but I'm sure there are doubters out there.
21/Jul/17 11:10 AM

I guess I didn't get 33 after all.
21/Jul/17 11:10 AM

Hurrah for Plum, she is scoring well today. I wonder if she bought anything at the craft fair.
21/Jul/17 11:11 AM

How will you tell how many are interested if I post answers?
21/Jul/17 11:11 AM
 |  |

You did get 33 Plum.
