Cute story:

So, I was outside hanging up the laundry this morning and Little Plum comes by leading 8 goats out to browse. She studies the garments on the line and says, "My T-shirts have been disappearing lately."

I said, "Think like a detective. Why do you think More...

I never seen an old blue before. Pumpkin or squash?
27/Aug/10 12:07 AM
I taught my children to iron while they were every young. I found my girls walking on the dresses I had just hung up in their closet. Ten of Them.
27/Aug/10 12:11 AM
Plum, are you feeding T-shirts to the goats????
27/Aug/10 12:12 AM
Blue and orange... a very different combination, look yummy! Time to do some sewing for the little one ... sheets and blanket for now then looking forward to deliver them and see BB Elizabeth
27/Aug/10 12:17 AM
Shiela - it might be cheaper than the hay and grain costs.
Dorthea - I hate finding clean, STILL FOLDED items in the laundry hamper. I mean, still folded? I shall be ironing Burl's shirts later today but he at least wears them and gets them to the laundry between ironings.
27/Aug/10 12:18 AM
Reminds me of my son's big dog eating my daughter-in-law's undies.... Let's just say everything comes out in the end!
Then son says, "Look! They're still in good shape! You could wash them...."
Conversation over! (I wonder why??? - Who raised this guy, anyway????)
27/Aug/10 12:18 AM
Good morning people of the world.
Great cool day here, thanks again so much. Though it seems you may have sent my tempts to Fiona.
27/Aug/10 12:19 AM
The Q blue is considered a squash and is a good "keeper." The pumpkin is also a squash and doesn't keep as long-term as the Q blue.
27/Aug/10 12:20 AM
Karen - did you mean to say temps? Knowing you, I'm not sure?
27/Aug/10 12:21 AM
Other daughter-in-law swears hubby folds his dirty laundry and puts it in the hamper. I didn't teach him that one, either!
27/Aug/10 12:21 AM
Hehehehe, Jill, is so funny, she thinks she is going to restore order to her house. Oh, the woman is hilarious.
27/Aug/10 12:21 AM
Strange way to get 22!!!
27/Aug/10 12:22 AM
I like the hard skinned squashes. It's the little green ones I can live without.
27/Aug/10 12:23 AM
You are right Plum.
27/Aug/10 12:23 AM
Talking about laundry!!!!! Wish we were back to the time were you had only 2 pairs of pants...
The biggest problem is not the laundry but to schedule ironing that comes with it....there is more to do than it use to be... I am looking for NO iron sheets...
27/Aug/10 12:28 AM
Here is something I did not know. Pepperidge Farm sells made in the USA Tim Tams. I have not seen them, but a friend brought some back from an outlet store in Michigan City, Indiana! Here is an article that compared the cookies side by side and declared that Australian made is still best:

Danstell - I don't care how wrinkled my sheets are - I do not iron them. That said, I do find that hanging clothes out on the line to dry often results in less ironing. Sometimes I'll attach weights to clothes pins and clip them onto the bottom of a garment if there's no breeze. The weight pulls More...

Interesting Pumpkin

I am happy to announce my laundry is complete. Well, just what is in the machines this morning, after that those machines can take a break till next week. Because of our extreme heat wave, I just ran those two in early morning and late at night. Did not want to intere whith the A/C units doing their job.
27/Aug/10 12:39 AM
Plum - they sold the Pepperidge Farm Tim Tams at my local grocery store during the last Christmas holiday season. They're very good, but I've never had the original Australian Tim-Tams, so I can't compare.
27/Aug/10 12:42 AM
very clever Plum... i'll try that... sheets ironing is a must for now as we decide to open our big old house (newly bought) to a B&B..5 rooms for the B&B plus 4 rooms for us and family ...all double and queen size bed, and of course a 2 single bed room in case it is needed.
27/Aug/10 12:45 AM
Regarding ironing - I don't! I try to buy all wash-and-wear clothing. When something does need ironing, I sneak it onto Jaime's ironing pile. Yes, he does the ironing in the family because he's better at it. He also does the button-sewing-on because he's more patient than I. Oh, and did I More...
27/Aug/10 12:48 AM
Danstell - how exciting! I'd love to see some pictures of the B&B when it's up-and-running!
27/Aug/10 12:50 AM
Update for those who have asked, sister is still in the hospital and about to go to her stress test, which is stressing her out. They are going to make her run and she is not a runner, fast walker, but not a runner. Then she is also worried about returning to work, where she will have to sit in an More...
27/Aug/10 12:52 AM
Danstell - I just went to your page and saw the photo of the exterior of your B&B. It's gorgeous! Have you furnished the guestrooms with antiques?
27/Aug/10 12:52 AM
