Job well done Doug!

Anne and Greg, keep up the hard work of getting better. For all those carers look after yourselves too - there is nothing more difficult than watching a loved one suffer and not being able to wave a magic wand to fix it!

Just popping in & out this morning. It is going to be VERY warm today, so I am trying to get as much done as possible before it really hits.

We are expecting a cool change this evening. I think the storm coming with it is Mother Nature saying 'Top this!' to those preparing the NYE fireworks.

1:11, a nice easy one today. Good morning everyone.

G-h, does that mean lots of thunder and lightning? Good afternoon, Anne.

Hello Sacky, how are things down in the southern state?
29/Dec/13 1:45 PM

Bloody windy, Anne. Our next door neighbour's chook has just laid the same egg three times.
29/Dec/13 2:00 PM
Pretty warm and windy here, Anne. Just listening to the Aussies doing a 4-0 whitewash of the Poms!
29/Dec/13 2:00 PM
Hello Peter. Been watching the yachts come up the river?
29/Dec/13 2:03 PM
I've got a gardening question for you Peter. How are the tomatoes going? This is worst ours have been for years.
29/Dec/13 2:04 PM
A warm day here so no bike ride. Not very pleasant when it's either warm or windy.
I'll meet up with my friends for a coffee this arvo, so that will be nice.
29/Dec/13 2:14 PM
Peter, that would save your neighbours money as they wouldn't have to have so many chickens to feed.
29/Dec/13 2:15 PM

Sacky, I've almost given up on tomatoes. I've had little success with them here in Tas. I have a couple of Sweetbite plants that grew themselves but they are slow.

Everything else has been OK (Broad beans/peas/beetroot/leeks/potatoes/sweetcorn)

We did the Poms..................again. Woooooooohoooooo!
29/Dec/13 2:42 PM
All the other stuff is doing well, but toms are struggling.
Aussie, Aussie , Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi! Just 1 more to go.
29/Dec/13 2:49 PM
Everybody. I'm so glad to hear that Greg is home and Ian's Anne is getting better as well as Gail's Scott is on the mend.
29/Dec/13 4:08 PM
I really had to stop and think about the difference in our growing seasons with Sacky and Peter's conversation about tomatoes. I'm glad most of your crops are doing well.

On the road. Gold Coast to Newcastle. About 8 and a half hours done - roughly 2 hours to go. Didi mention I hate long drives?
29/Dec/13 5:10 PM
We are on the south coast of NSW. Almost got blown away last night. Don't remember winds that strong before. Just laid in bed and listened to it rage for hours. The house survived beautifully.
29/Dec/13 5:52 PM
Thank heavens for that, Lurker!
29/Dec/13 7:26 PM
There's a cyclone heading almost straight for where my daughter lives up north. Supposed to be a big one. They are in the process of preparing for it.
