Looks like there were no lurkers.
10/Jun/11 10:52 AM
Good onya, saylz. I was lurking but I've had enough thrills.

A man was sitting on a blanket at the beach. He had no arms and no legs.

Three women, from England, Wales, and Scotland, were walking past and felt sorry for the poor man.
The English woman said "Have you ever had a hug?"
The man said "No," so she gave him a More...

1:58 Good morning one and all on this lovely fine, winter's day.
Lovely photo, Wendy, especially the waves rolling in.

all.
My sincere sympathy to Tricia on the loss of Nova & Heidi on the loss of Hollie. It is so so hard to say goodbye to our four legged friends. My heart goes out to both of you.

9 June 2011, Happy Birthday to Michael J. Fox, Johnny Depp, and Natalie Portman.
Since I only have an avatar / smile for one of these people.

And now...
The Importance of Walking!!

Walking can add minutes to your life.
This enables you at 85 years old
to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing
home at $7000 per month.

I like long walks,
especially when they are taken
by people who annoy me..

Rolanda,
Congratulations to #2 boy on his final Uni exam.
My #1 had his final day on Wednesday. Now he just has to make some money so he can pay off his HECs debt.
10/Jun/11 12:38 PM
Mine is the same Victoria. make money to pay the HEC's debt.
Congrats on your #1 on completing his studies
10/Jun/11 12:40 PM
Heidi & Tricia, sorry for the loss of your beloved friends.
10/Jun/11 12:44 PM
I haven't been to Yeppoon since I was about 15. We used to stay with my aunt at Cooee Bay where they hold the world Coo-ee championships.

We're going to our oldest grandson's high school graduation this coming weekend.

I'm not sure what that relates to in Oz (or in Europe for that matter), but it's a big deal here.
10/Jun/11 12:50 PM
Here, the graduation from High school is not a big deal - their high school formal is another matter.
#1's graduation from Uni is on 28th July. He can only get 4 tickets to the event - me, hubby, #2 and grandma.
#1's girlfriend is having her mother, sister and grandfather flying over from Japan for the graduation.

A miracle has just happened. Hollie has decided to fight for survival. She stood up on her own a few minutes ago, and ate a few bites of food. I think she might recover!
10/Jun/11 1:10 PM
Yea Hollie! You go girl!
10/Jun/11 1:15 PM
OOPS! Good evening.
10/Jun/11 1:15 PM
Phanty, I must take exception! TM was out with the cows by himself. I figured out the gate thing long ago. (I think cows must have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Everytime they get out, they cr@p all over the place. Everytime they get stressed, they cr@p all over the place.)
10/Jun/11 1:18 PM
Tricia, so sorry for your loss. It is hard to say goodbye to an old friend.
10/Jun/11 1:19 PM
Sue, you commented yesterday about harvest starting around the Fourth of July. It depends on where you live, and the weather. The further south, the earlier the harvest. They are already harvesting in southern Kansas. Hot, windy weather tends to make the wheat ripen sooner. Cool and wet extends the season. We are going to start harvesting a little earlier this year than we did last year.
10/Jun/11 1:22 PM
Of course, TM had a run of bad luck with equipment and weather, so he just today finished putting in the soy beans. He still needs to work the two milo fields and plant them. We need to take up the hot fence in one of those fields. I don't think he is going to make it to the River Festival again this year. I, however, am putting down my foot, and attending.

And now I need to visit the other site, clean the kitchen, and maybe sew. Lots to do tomorrow. If I get the outside work done earlier, it is cooler. Good night.
10/Jun/11 1:26 PM
everyone!!!
10/Jun/11 1:58 PM
Good night people of the world.
10/Jun/11 2:39 PM
I am not sure that, on this site, we are necessarily 'people of the world'. More like 'people of the cyberworld'.
However perhaps the 'cyberworld' IS our real world.
We can even communicate with Phantoms in our world.
10/Jun/11 3:11 PM
Sarah Beth,
I do not like the nick-name 'Phanty' very much.
The word closely rhymes with 'Aunty' and conjures up an image of Phantom as an 'Agony Aunt' of some sort.
It would even worse if you went whole hog and referred to him (or her - but I think him) as 'Aunty Phanty'.
10/Jun/11 3:15 PM
We can quibble about the world part but the friendship can be ever so real. I have known some of the people here for a few years but when I met them in person, the experience was strange. We met and conversed as if we have known each other personally for a long time.
10/Jun/11 3:18 PM
So: Phantom becomes Aunty Phanty, who is probably an Uncle providing us with agony.
Rather, on this site we are provided with a real opportunity to communicate, almost on a daily basis, with a live and real Phantom - a unique benefit from the cyberworld, which is exclusive to sudoku.com.
10/Jun/11 3:20 PM
We were comfortable with each other and spoke with ease, not as strangers meeting for the first time. As I drove Sue/Ok to the party in SF she poked fun of me as I spoke to the drivers in other cars within the quiet confines of my car. I laughed because I knew she laughed with me for the odd SF traffic patterns.
10/Jun/11 3:22 PM
Aunty Phanty? No! No! No!
But it does remind me of the '70's show in Oz, Aunty Jack. That was some good Aussie humour.
10/Jun/11 3:32 PM
I have never knowingly ever met a sudokuist.
I am prepared to accept that I would get on with you all as I feel I do on-site. However if I ever arranged any meeting I would be very apprehensive before the meeting.
None of the meetings so far (that have been suggested and seemed possible) have come to fruition.

No summary tonight....there's rugby to be watched
10/Jun/11 7:00 PM
