G'day mates,here's today's daffynition:
INFLATION: Cutting money in half without damaging the paper.

..And here's today's factoid:
In the 1970s, Mattel sold a doll called “Growing Up Skipper.” Her breasts grew when her arm was turned.

That must have happened to me, too, Kayo! You know... the process of having kids and 'twisting' your arms around them!!!

I remember 'Skipper', but not that particular/peculiar model.

My hubby has a tendency to think that if something doesn't work mechanically, that if you wait long enough, it will fix itself. After waiting all summer for the garage door opener to 'fix itself', I finally insisted (as cold weather fast approaches) and I have a garage door serviceman in my garage at this very moment. I think he'll probably do the trick!

I almost called the repairman myself without telling my husband, but decided it would be counter-productive to reinforce the 'it'll fix itself' syndrome!

If at first you don't succeed try and try again. I didn't even get one attempt at yesterday's puzzle so here it is again.

A word ladder is a puzzle in which you are given two words, with steps in between them. You are supposed to change just one letter on each step as you go from the top More...

Puzzle clarification. The four steps are the four words that you come up with.

So. Is. NZ - is beautiful - I will attest

Serena - do you have to keep the letters in order?

Shiela - understand that syndrome - however mine is - if no one steps up - do it yourself. Guess I can't wait - unless it is easy to live with and too costly to fix.

Tomorrow is the More...

Eve - yes you have to keep the letters in order.
Hope all goes well for you tomorrow.

Door opener all fixed! Or replaced, in this case.
Was told to lubricate (WD-40) all moving door parts several times a year... Ahhhh, I don't think we've EVER done that before as far as I know! (I wonder if...)
Did I say my hubby is not mechanical-minded? Maybe I should take over that part in this household!

I wouldn't call this a buggy. I'd call it a rather pathetic cart. The scenery behind it is beautiful. But then, I'm a Rural Woman.

Good luck with the throat surgery, Eve. Polyps and damaged vocal cords make it very tough to speak.
