A Thought For The Day:

The 'Tour Down Under' starts today. That's a cycling event which attracts top riders from around the globe.

The heatwave is now over but Tuesday's 'Stage One' race up through the Barossa Valley will probably be cancelled due to nearby bushfires.

Overcast. You'll see my baby blues today!
Grand-twin had her tonsil/adenoid surgery yesterday. It went well - other than the feeling of being 'betrayed' by her whole family! Hard to get the concept of 'it'll hurt now, but later it'll make it easier to More...

Good Maen, good people. I guess I was out of the running and off the list for HalT's poozle because I guessed 'paster' as in ready for the glue factory. I couldn't find any source that said that plater was an inferior race horse. Race horse, yes. Inferior race horse, no.

Oh, my goodness! Keith, Doug, Peter -- I just read the comments from yesterday! I am flattered that you are SURE I made a pattern to the numbers (which I did, of course). Yesterday I was making chicken with sun dried tomato cream sauce, a great recipe I got off of Facebook. Didn't have white wine so decided to substitute dry sake. But all I had was a little bottle of sake with real gold flakes, (don't ask me why but some people like to drink it with real gold in it). I carefully poured the sake out and saved the gold flakes.

Now I have gold flakes on a paper towel but it's stuck! Beside the amount is soooo miniscule that you can't do much with it! So now what do I do with it???

Paste the gold flakes to one of your upper front teeth, shosho. When you smile, you'll light up the room.

Shiela - glad your grandtwin breezed through her surgery & will be able to breathe much better now! I saw her picture on FB. She's a cutie.

Fiona & Judy - nice to see you around!

Doug - any good matches at the Aussie Open I should try to catch on replay?
