Oh, Sue.... .... I have never forgotten that miserable excuse for creme brulee we had in Florida. It was actually bad vanilla pudding. Please save some for me.

It actually was quite refreshing being outside -- at first -- then the wind picked up and was a little biting --- big pile of snow - we lifted it off to the side -- but it seems to have returned - I know Groundhog day is tomorrow, and I feel like I am in the movie -- same snow being pushed off to More...

Love news reports. This one was for Chicago and OK, some areas in between were mentioned, can you believe, these states are expected to have snow and ice? Yep, the reporter who was reporting this information, was covered in snow, because it was snowing.
We are still frozen here. I think we are trying to go into the dry ice stage.

Morning.

Keeping Susan and her family in my thoughts, as TC Yasi heads for her part of the world. Stay Safe ♥
02/Feb/11 11:15 AM
My thoughts to Susan and her family. We all suffer from what Mother Nature throws at us, some suffer more than others. I hope this horrendous weather front will not cause too many problems to too many families.
02/Feb/11 11:29 AM
2:22 all the twos. Good morning one and all.

My thoughts are with all the people in FNQ in the path of TC Yasi. There will be terrible damage but I hope all lives will be spared.

I sincerely hope that all of you in Sudoku-land have a Happy, yet safe Groundhog Eve. Let's try to tone down the partying this year... ;-)

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.

Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.

Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.

Her boyfriend (er "cabana boy") is on the cover of Playgirl.

And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

WOMEN'S REVENGE

'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.

As she fumbled for her wallet , I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.

'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.

'No,' she replied, More...

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN

(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)

I know I'm not going to understand women.

I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,

pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root,

and still be afraid of a spider.

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.

An earlier discussion had led to an argument and

neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,

the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

CREATION

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be

so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.

'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain.

God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;

God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !

WHO DOES WHAT

A man and his wife were having an argument about who

should brew the coffee each morning.

The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first,

and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.

The husband said, 'You are in More...

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home

and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him

at 5:0 0 AM for an early morning business flight.

Sitting here listening to constant updates of the Cyclone. Scary stuff. High Category 5. The eye of the storm will take 1 hour to pass. 35km across.
Storm Surge has been predicted at up to 7m.(20ft.)from high tide mark.
My sister is evacuating to Mackay. (from just north of Townsville.)
02/Feb/11 2:05 PM
Am hoping all of our Queensland folks stay safe and dry! Yasi looked really nasty on screen.
02/Feb/11 2:13 PM
Grass-hopper, Is the area your sister is in low and flat or is there terrain to slow the surge?
02/Feb/11 2:14 PM
And yes, Vici, I voted for Petruccio after all the doggone hassle of logging in. I kept ending up on a different page for some odd reason. But I persisted and finally got the page that said you voted!!

Ah spring. I was about to complain how we went from a hot morning to a cold noon in the 60's but after reading about negative numbers for the temperature I think I'll shut my mouth or still my fingers!!!
02/Feb/11 2:17 PM
I had a parent conference for a child who drove me crazy by doing the child thing of forgetting what we spent a great deal of time learning. The darling mother was very concerned and asked what could she do. I was hoping that she would tell me, considering her profession was principal of a secondary school!

Jerry, my Sister & BIL manage a holiday van park which fronts the beach. Predictions are that the park will not exist when they return. This cyclone is about the same size as Katrina, & they were right in its path.
02/Feb/11 2:32 PM
My sister is sitting in her bunker room of her home in Cairns. She says they are as ready as they can be. ♥
02/Feb/11 2:32 PM
What terrible news GH, it will be devastating for them. Thoughts for your sis and BIL.
02/Feb/11 2:33 PM
Can I do it again?
02/Feb/11 2:36 PM
I am just so relieved that they packed up & left.
