Oh Sacky, what a shame to lose that pink quartzite beach. What I would give to have been there!

Kathy, Lake Pedder is still used for hydro power generation, but has also become a popular lake for trout fishing.

Kathy, trout is what we'll catch.......maybe.

Lake Pedder is in the Tasmanian wilderness. Fishing and bush walking are probably the main activities.

There is a photo in my gallery of the lake and an ancient tree that was harvested because the area was to be flooded. It is a Huon Pine and is over 2000 years old.

Li Na beat Shrieking Sharapova......good result.

One for the quiet ones. I don't like the shrieking and grunting that goes on in tennis these days.....Fair dinkum puts me off.

I totally agree, Peter. John Newcome once said he thought it should be illegal, that it masks the sound of the ball striking the strings, which can impart valuable information to the opponent. It is also quite annoying.

Try Firefox, Hal. It avoids lots of Explorer's problems. I have them both, but use Firefox for almost everything, since almost everything is better than it is on Explorer.

Has anyone decided earlier in the day if its a Viszla or Weimaraner. It looks settled anyway.

We have had a bit of snow, more like a white hard icing covering everything in a thin coat of hard crystallized fluff, as if the pastry chef did not let the sugar melt properly and the icing is crunchy.

Hal, I was having to sign in every time I came to the site, I was using Google Chrome for other sites but Internet Explorer for this site. I changed it over to GC and don't have that problem anymore.
