Sometimes an alias I have taken
When overly cranky I awaken
But Sir Lawrence is not a name
I've used to play this lovely game!

Sweet Home, Chicago!'

It will be like old home week for you.

5:14 slow today. Hi to all

Joke of the Day:

Three men are stranded in a small boat. After bobbing about for a week they see a huge hand slowly rise out of the water. As they watch, the hand slowly dips to the right, then slowly to the left. It then submerges beneath the waves. 'Streuth!' says one of the men. 'Did you see the size of that wave?'

Guess what? I also HATE shopping! I don't like crowds and I can never find what I want. I avoid the shopping area in my town like the plague! But..... that's WHY I suggested Chicago! The Christmas ambiance is well worth the trip. So... stick with me while the others visit Saks, Bloomingdale, Niemann-Marcus, etc.

Hey, why don't we invite the entire crew to meet halfway between you and me. Let's see. That would be about, hmmm, Farmer City! Too bad this trip wasn't planned for the summer. We could have our guests listen to the corn grow, eat a fantastic meal at either of FC's fantastic eateries, and develop a real appreciation for Chicago when they got there! (GRIN)

Q: Why did the liberal chicken cross the road?
A: He felt guilt for being on the one side and crossed to show solidarity with his brothers on the other side.

Q: Why did the conservative chicken cross the road?
A: Because his father did, and his grandfather did.

Just had a great night with friends. Much wine and we tried BBQ duck breast!!! Next time we will know better!!!! But luckly the prawns and oysters with quail eggs and salad was delicious and the cheese and desert (nectarines with mascapone) was super!!

4:39 a chilly 50` this AM '' NO snow on the ground this morning, not so sure i want to go out in the cold, hope everyone has a great weekend, Hope Lisa and Liam are doing well.'' I'll bet Lisa would trade Sudoku time for a hour nap already..;)
A grandparent without anyone to spoil yet.

To Lew from Alaska: I tend to be modest about my credentials. The number of letters after a person's name doesn't impress me. Never-the-less I do have a lot of letters after my name (and I'm not impressed). I spent 16 years in education after College! My main field is Biology, though I am well versed in geology, environmental studies, Chemistry, and some Physics. DORK ALERT!

You mean Farmer City actually has two eateries? Who woudda thunk it!

Is this a snowman?!

To Loyal 'Markin and Kate from UK. Thank you for the great laughs. I really needed it. I've been to a lot of funerals this year and I'm in the middle of a divorce. On top of that stress, I want to adopt, but it is so difficult for a single male...most agencies won't even talk to me.
 |  |
Farmer City has two eateries if you count Mickey D's! (I refuse to consider Huck's Gas Station an eatery!)
 |  |
Dusty Trails - I'm headed to Scottsdale next week. Going to visit my 'stepdaughter' and 'grandson' who moved out there last May. I can't believe all the stuff we're bringing. My honey temporarily uses a walker and wheelchair, and we're bringing my stepdaughter's small dog as a carry-on. Also, grandson's bicycle....

Andre always listen to men they give 100 per cent sound advice -- 99 per cent sound, one per cent advice!!!

This is (by far) the best Sudoku web-site on the World Wide Web!!! :-)

3:09 Still trying to go under 3:00.

4:58 A bit slow this morning!
 |  |
3:06 on a nice sunny but cold Saturday here in the US

Warren: Sorry about all the funerals and the divorce. Divorces can be a real pain -- been there, done that. I also wanted to adopt. I was on a waiting list for seven years and they finally called for the home study the day my divorce was finalized! Have you considered either a foreign adoption or a bi-racial child - or is that not your style?
 |  |
Yvette - Thanks for the laugh!

Farmer City..ahhh,home of Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips. My favorite in the whole world. My Dad used to get them when he worked at Keystone and he said they were still warm. Those chips and Prairie Farms french onion dip are sooo awesome together. Maybe I'll get some to go with the leftover turkey I'll have in my sandwich for lunch today!!

My white polar dog has contributed to thawing the ice-barrier.
Please André, what about my shopping list? Too costly? I have a drink( bubbly dregs)but I don't can translate 'heading your way not rich'. Help me.Thanks
 |  |
I am from Pekin. Have you eaten those chips??
 |  |
 |  |
a shopping addict I was
a poor peg I am
a rich holly I will be?
 |  |
jh how many men does it take to change a toilet roll?
Nobody knows it has never happened!!!!
 |  |
Judy: Yeah, I remember now! We had this conversation before -- I was just having one of my senior moments! I've had those chips, but I've given up chips and sour cream dips. High cholesterol. Rather spend my cholesterol on Mississippi Mud Pie, New York Cheesecake, or creme brulée.

A shopping spree, so what do I need?
Not much into posessions or greed.
But little luxuries can brighten my day,
I'll join in this trek in a city far away.
A camera, some opals, would be just fab,
As long as its on Teddy's tab.

Have a great day, all!
