Flat Tyre (Tire), accepted White Wall Tire

In the today we have Dottie R, Keith, HalT (yes), Peter, Judy (what beer?), Joyce, Canuk Greg, and Kathy. You can move your stuff around in this until you get your tire fixed.

Apparently the late posting didn't effect anybody. Maybe I'll come back later and post today's.

See if you can figure out the words in this 'pyramid' using the hints given below. Each new word contains the same letters as the previous word, plus a new letter. Order need not be preserved.

1) Twelfth letter of the English alphabet
2) Lithium
3) Sesame plant

To:Doug W From Adelaide

Does lightning strike upwards in Adelaide?
29/May/14 12:21 AM
Wolf - From your perspective, I guess it does. I hadn't really given as much thought as you have.

Does lightning go sideways in Brazil??? Where's Einstein when we need him?
29/May/14 12:27 AM
The initial circuit of a lighning strike is from the cloud to the ground (very small, very fast and nearly invisible). The main strike is from the ground to the cloud (much slower, very high current, and extremely hot - about 50,000 Kelvin) - that is the one you see.

I thought the picture was looking up.

I'd like to know what beer tastes like a flat tire, too.

I'm embarrassed to say I had forgotten that, Neil. We saw a lot of strikes last night. Of the ground to cloud variety. I was amazed our electricity stayed on.

That was a good ''hard'' jigsaw!

I usually press the elevator once. Then a couple of minutes later a second bunch just to remind the elevator that I'm still waiting!

I thought I read somewhere that really the lightning started in the middle where the downward flow of negative charge met the attracted positive charged flow came up from the highest point on earth.

Okay, Keith, I shall bow out here so that you can capture your 22 !
29/May/14 1:21 AM
Judy was referring to ''Fat Tire,'' a beer made by New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins CO, USA.

Kathy - I chose 'Edmund Fitzgerald' instead of 'Flat Tire' to go with my meal last night at Great Lakes Pub near where I buy my flowers for my flower gardens. We went after hubby got out of work to a greenhouse about 20 miles away. I didn't feel like cooking afterwards so we went to the Pub! Great hambugers there, by the way!

Keith, you had your chance.

Rainy today. A friend is getting a new roof today, so I bet she's not too happy.

Shiela, sounds like you are getting the rain we had over the week-end.
29/May/14 1:29 AM
You are right, Halt! It is 'Fat Tire' - and probably not at all served flat!!!!
29/May/14 1:29 AM
Sue - We need the rain, but not good for roofing!
29/May/14 1:30 AM
To all who left me birthday wishes -
Will visit your pages personally in the next few days between planting my 9 flats of flowers!
29/May/14 1:34 AM
Off to my flowers...
29/May/14 1:35 AM
Have to go get Harry, I did not feel like shopping today while he was gone.
29/May/14 2:21 AM
I ordered Fat Tire one time just because I thought the name was funny, and found out it is pretty darn good tasting beer.
29/May/14 2:22 AM
Just a quick question before I head down the hall to class. Do we have any 'members' that live in Minnesota?
29/May/14 2:24 AM
Good afternoon to all! I see fire in the sky.
29/May/14 2:26 AM
Serena, it's actually 'Iron sulphide' I think.
29/May/14 2:28 AM
Magnificent picture!
29/May/14 2:43 AM
Canuk Greg, I think the 'f' or 'ph' depends on where you are.
29/May/14 2:48 AM
I think it is spelled both sulfide and sulphide - a quick search using Google had the same information using both spellings.
It still hasn't helped me with Serena's puzzle yet!? I think I am missing something.
29/May/14 2:48 AM
jamie, are you going to turn the page?
