Anyone know if DST switch in Australia will affect Sudoku? Where is server located? Not all of Australia observes DST.
05/Oct/19 12:05 AM
Yes, Denny, it will. It will be an hour earlier.
05/Oct/19 12:09 AM
1:52 Good night all.
05/Oct/19 12:11 AM
2:13. 'Morning, Anne, Denny, everyone. Isn't the site run out of Melbourne?
05/Oct/19 12:14 AM
Yes, Tom, where Gath lives. Now I'm off to
05/Oct/19 12:16 AM
Our province is currently considering permanently staying on daylight savings time...
05/Oct/19 12:18 AM
Sadly, with the time change I will not be able to contend for first post. Seven am my time, okay, six am, I am still snoring!
05/Oct/19 12:57 AM
It gets worse when we go off DST. Five am, no way!!
05/Oct/19 12:58 AM
everyone!!
05/Oct/19 1:16 AM
Yup. Same for me, Denny. 7 in the summer, a short transition period of 6, and 5 all winter.
05/Oct/19 1:34 AM
Yes, all Winter long it is difficult for we cheerful and gregarious West Coasters to greet the site in the morning! But, never fear, we will be around ... bwah ha ha ...

from SoCal!
05/Oct/19 2:31 AM
Kate for the interesting photo of rowers on the lake.
05/Oct/19 3:30 AM
Guess all we need is a topic to discuss, then the comments begin to collect … the time you like to greet the day is a good choice for today!

all. We east-coasters don't have it too bad with an 8AM roll over time. But.... I'm seldom up at 8AM.
05/Oct/19 4:47 AM
Morning all, that is a long shot of the lake.
Sometimes it isn't what time you like to get out of bed but what time you get up because you can't sleep.
05/Oct/19 5:01 AM
I need less sleep in my old age. If I don't stay up until around midnight, I'll be awake around 4AM with nothing to do, so I stay up late on purpose. That does make me want to sleep in.
05/Oct/19 5:22 AM
Time to make a run for it.
05/Oct/19 5:23 AM
Gallump.
05/Oct/19 5:23 AM

& a CP for good measure.
05/Oct/19 5:24 AM
Is it too early for Halloween?
05/Oct/19 5:26 AM
Probably.
05/Oct/19 5:27 AM
1:37. Good morning everyone.

I'm glad there was an explanation with that photo, I originally thought it was driftwood in a large river. I would never have picked it for being LBG!
05/Oct/19 5:31 AM
Sorry - I started the conversation but then got waylaid...

I'm not an early riser unless I'm forced to accept an early morn appointment or choose an early morning flight so that I arrive early enough to enjoy my arrival in a warmer clime. Thus, I also stay up late!
05/Oct/19 5:38 AM
I'm just the opposite, about 8PM I start getting antsy for bed, big clue when I miss a section of a television program! So prep up for bed then read until 9:30, then sleep! I get up about 5, maybe a little earlier, my eyes pop open! I go for a run then.

Attention all P{UZZLERS here is today's puzzle.
OCT 5 (A&P)

This week's Saturday poozle is 2&4 poozle,
We will work through the alphabet giving you the second and fourth letters (B&D) of a
word and a clue as to what the word is. We will also give you the end of the word in More...

Well, I don't usually getto the site until the afternoon. By that time everyone else has said their bit and don't appear again until tomorrow morning.

Mr Cee hit the nail on the head when he pointed out that the site is too clunky and needs a face lift to make it more interactive.
05/Oct/19 10:17 AM
Seeing we are spread all over3 the world what we really need to do is to go back to the previous day and pick up on the comments made there. A more flexible site would be good too.
05/Oct/19 12:07 PM
I understand what Peter and Mr. Cee mean, but I am so happy not to have the complications and annoyance of, for instance, Facebook. I am participating in a group right now where people do respond to each other's comments a lot, but it is so hard to find the new comments and old things are no More...

Our local paper has a few sayings & jokes in each week so thought I might share a couple with you.

'I love asking kids what they are going to do when they grow up, because I am still looking for ideas.'
05/Oct/19 12:49 PM
'We began to long for the pitter-patter of little feet. So we bought a dog. It's cheaper and you get more feet.' (Rita Rudner)
05/Oct/19 12:51 PM
'I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception!' (Groucho Marx)
05/Oct/19 12:52 PM
If we're not meant to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the 'fridge?

What do you call a smart blonde??

A Golden Retriever.

05/Oct/19 12:55 PM
That will do, I've bored you enough.
05/Oct/19 12:55 PM
They used to have funnier ones in the paper but must have run out of the good jokes.
05/Oct/19 12:57 PM
I prefer to use this site rather than facebook. Do we need to have ongoing conversations? Or can people just make their comment and look later for a response and enjoy everything that has been said. Sure, we are used to more interactive sites but this one suits me just fine
05/Oct/19 1:42 PM
It suits me too, Arachnid!
