There was lots of interesting conversation her last night after I went to bed! I always make it a point now to go back & read Archives of yesterday before I read today.
Anne - your story about toilet seat shopping cracked me up, so funny! Also, Paul's sniff, sniffs were cute. Wish I'd been around to send him a virtual hug. Hate to have anyone feeling lonely.
2:41 - first time in ages I've been on the first page - this site is so busy now, I don't have time to read all the comments (or maybe it's me that's so busy...hmm)
Oz sure looks out for their families by allowing so much time off for new baby care. Susan, amazing to me that 7 YEARS leave from teaching is allowed, with option to go part time, too. My middle daughter who is an intensive care nurse & works 12 hour night shifts at the Veteran's Hosp. (govt. More...
Good Maen....way too early for a Saturday but the dogs internal time clock know no difference from Monday through Sunday. Going to have to keep them up later at night, maybe they'll sleep in A bit nippy here this A.M. Have a great weekend all! Kathy....good TFTD
She worked nights so that her husband could be home with the kids (3) while she worked. On Sat. & Sun. she could sleep during the day because he was home, but on weekdays she often worked all night & then had to stay awake all day, too, until he came home from work at 5 PM. I don't know how she did it. I felt so sorry for her, but could not even help because they live in NC.
One for the females -
Little boy aged 5 having his bath. Mother encouraging him to wash himself. He gets between his legs and asks his mother ' Are these my brains?'
Mother replies ' Not yet dear !'
LOL..Anne, your toilet seat shopping is hilarious. I thought mattress shopping was crazy, especially 30+ y/o ago as a soon to be newly wed.
Hello from the chilly north
3:16. mAen all.
2:29...I ate my Wheaties this morning!!!
Nice pic. Lady Liberty!
to GRANNIEMO from South West France
It's nice to see someone else joining in with the jokes. I thought yours was funny. No offence, guys!!!!!
Did it once in 3:30....WRONGO! So I reset and started over and did it in 2:28. I doubt I could have broken two and a half minutes without cheating!
The Statue of Liberty was digitally mapped after 9/11. Had the statue been destroyed that day, there would have been no way to replace it. Now a complete computer model exists should it ever be the target of the madmen.
LOL GrannieMo Cute bath story! The daughter I've been talking about has 3 boys. She'll like this one!! How many grandchildren do you have?
Jim from Jupiter - good to know our Statue of Liberty has some insurance now! Knowing that you love animals, have you been following the story about the tortoise & the baby hippo orphaned in the tsunami who have become fast friends? A father & daughter have written a book about them now. Saw wonderful photos on the Today Show.
2:51, at least under 3 mins.
Love the jokes all, but can't find the toilet seat one. oh well
Stormy here today.
Hold on Pacific Northwest, it's going to be windy.
MARY from Oregan. The toilet seat episode is in archives for yesterday in easy (I think). It's not actually a joke, it was my shopping trip this morning.
gMaen all! Nasty cold rainy day here, hope you all are enjoying nicer weather.
Amelie, what will you do with your boys on this rainy weekend?
G'Maen all! 3:18 this morning to see Lady Liberty. Have had over 3 inches of rain in the past 24 hours and it is still coming down!

Here is an interesting item from the Harvard Law School:

first time i dare to play online, i'm new to this! and i love new york ;)
Ed & Eden - read your exchange of comments from 2/4 & am glad you were both able to clarify. Funny thing about the written word versus spoken, it is hard to tell when someone is teasing or serious because you can't hear the tone of voice! I was relieved to know you don't do drugs, Ed. For a More...
Kathy - I have 2 grand daughters but they live in Singapore so I don't get to see them too often
Good Maen. 4+. Maybe I should wake up first.
This is an old one but because of my CRS, I ROFLOL.
A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks, in the sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, 'Excuthe me, mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?'

As the shopkeeper's heart More...

She, in turn, blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says, in a tiny quiet voice, 'I don't think my python weally gives a thit.'
I've come back to easy again - I got as far as difficult. But with hubby jumping up and down whilst the rugby is on I couldn't concentrate. Apparently England just scored (against Wales)
Okay, Glenn you got me good on that one!! I figured it must be something educational if it came from Harvard - NOT! Very funny. Others who check it out note that if you cut & past the website line, make sure you omit the space between the r and d in Harvard. Glenn are you a lawyer, a Harvard grad, or just an NFL fan?? (you're right, though, football is more interesting than baseball)
Kathy - I'm not a lawyer, not a Harvard alumnus, and about the only football game I ever watch is the Superbowl. I'm originally from New England and our teams up there have broken my heart far too many times. We always seem able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

Greetings to all 'Sudokuarians' from windy and rainy Portland.
If you watch carefully, you can see Oregon blow by!
¬°Feliz fin de Semana!
Good Morning everyone 5:58 Not bad for me Light snow flurries here
Doesn't her dress look like a French design?
So, Glenn, have you dared to pick a favorite for Sunday? I'm guessing if you are a Northerner by birth maybe you'll be rooting for the Steelers?
The Aussies probably have no idea what a big deal the Super Bowl is in the U.S. Even people who don't normally follow pro football suddenly get drawn into the hype of it all!
2:21 this morning. Going with the Steelers on Sunday. Off to go play in the snow....
No wonder we male's have an inferiority complex with all this penis jokes, don't know that's private. They sure are funny so keep them coming. I drive Barb nuts repeating them.

Sorry to hear your match was cancelled, I hate when that happens especially after a More...
don't you know thats private (more coffee please)
Good mAen.

When I wrote that comment my main concern was how you would feel. When I didn't hear from you I was going to correct myself, but thanks to Eden that was taken care of. Kathy you have a SOOOOOOOO BIIIIIIG. I am so looking forward to Feb. 20 do you think we will be home by 4 am? I talk a lot.
For anyone who watches the big game SuperBowl XL on Sunday. The Referee will be none other than a friend of mine Bill Leavy, who I worked with many years ago. He was a police officer in San Jose CA and then transferred to the fire department and retired from there. Just because I know Bill, don't think I have any influence over the outcome of the game......................GO SEAHAWKS
