 G'day mates,here's today's medical daffynition:Coma - A punctuation mark. ..And here's today's factoid:The average milking cow produces 6,000 quarts (5,678 liters) of milk a year. 01/Nov/12 12:00 AM |  |
friends!Nope! No needed here today... Our hearts go out to the people in the East Coast corridor. 01/Nov/12 12:00 AM |  |

Is that cat wearing a dress? Mine would try to claw my eyes out if I tried something like that. 01/Nov/12 12:03 AM |  |
In case you’re curious like I was, groat is a real word. It is either one of several coins formerly used in England, Ireland, Scotland, British Guiana, and the British West Indies or a form of processed cereal grain. 01/Nov/12 12:04 AM |  |
The answer to yesterday's puzzle is the buckle is worth 92 groats. A shiny new buckle is on the way to Jamie, shosho, Wolf, lonewolf, Peter, and Mr Cee. 01/Nov/12 12:05 AM |  |
Good Maen all! Have been off line since Monday 2:30 pm when the power went out. We have a generator but I don't usually use the computer when it is running. Needed to get on and check the power restoration estimate (5:45 Am Thursday 11/1) thought I would pop in and say hello. 01/Nov/12 12:08 AM |  |
If it weren't for the potential basement flooding without a running sump pump, I wouldn't even run the generator. But I'm lucky to have one. 01/Nov/12 12:11 AM |  |
Hello, Pam! We are so glad you checked in and hope others will be able to soon as well! Wishing your area a speedy recovery! Stay safe! 01/Nov/12 12:11 AM |  |
Thanks Shiela, I haven't ventured out beyond my yard because of the trees on the power lines. It is a lovely sunny day though! 01/Nov/12 12:14 AM |  |
 Let's Play Wheel of Fortune _ _ N _ _ _ _ _ T _ _ _ _ N _ Answers to the ''I'd like to buy a vowel'' inbox. I have hints but I think they give the answer away. If I don't get any responses I'll start posting hints later. 01/Nov/12 12:18 AM |  |
Serena, I had one cat who loved things like that. I have a photo of him with about 27 strings of Mardi Gras beads around his neck once and he still looked very regal!But... if I'd gone even near our other two cats with them they would have fought tooth & toenail! 01/Nov/12 12:19 AM |  |
 Note to self. Extra space don't post. Let's try it this way. _ _ N _ _ _ _ _ T _ _ _ _ N _ 01/Nov/12 12:19 AM |  |
Don't know if it is any easier that way, Serena, but the first way was a REALLY long word! I will work on it after class unless it comes to me real fast. 01/Nov/12 12:25 AM |  |
Happy Wednesday!Serena: any way we could have the 'Final Puzzle' hints of R,S,T,L,N,E? Spent the day off yesterday with my 90 y.o. mom in the ER--her Board and Care facility called me because she had passed out while they were giving her a shower that morning (about More... 01/Nov/12 12:38 AM |  |
Just thinking of Sudoku friends Joe and Deltz both from New Jersey. Neither of them has posted since Sandy struck, hope its just lack of electricity that is the problem. My prayers are with them and all those affected by such a terrible storm 01/Nov/12 12:58 AM |  |
Please know that you, the cardiologist and your mother are in my prayers for the right care for your mother's health, Aileen. (My mom got a pacemaker at about that age. She is still living independently, although one of my sisters moved in with her this summer to help with meals and housekeeping. She'll be 97 this November.) 01/Nov/12 12:59 AM |  |
Good morning people of the world. 01/Nov/12 1:16 AM |  |

There is no advertisement for our Trunk and Treat place and no one knows if they are having it again this year. Now, need to find a close place that has trunk or treating. Really, do not like going to strangers houses, which Man sees no problem with. 01/Nov/12 1:19 AM |  |
Aileen, good thoughts for you and your family, coming from here, too. 01/Nov/12 1:20 AM |  |

Short schedule today at school - teacher meetings this afternoon! I may have time to work the medium. Back later, I hope - maybe inspiration will strike for Serena's poozle. 01/Nov/12 1:58 AM |  |
Y'all. News from my sister: Long Beach Island is badly torn up, and no one will be allowed on the island for 'at least ten days'. Right now,she does not even know if her house is still standing. 01/Nov/12 2:03 AM |  |
 Wendy - what a gorgeous cat...but I don't think he/she's too happy in this shot. 01/Nov/12 2:07 AM |  |
The last time I tried to dress my cat, it was a head band with antlers. She gave me an evil look and I swear she was muttering curses when I took her picture. That picture is in my gallery on my page, 4th row from bottom. 01/Nov/12 2:22 AM |  |
Well Captain J, at least your sister is well. I'm glad she decided to evacuate. Better the house gone than her! 01/Nov/12 2:23 AM |  |
Jamie, you weren't at that teachers meeting when you were doing the medium, were you? And what is an 'Imperial Sugar Dr. Pepper'??? 01/Nov/12 2:41 AM |  |
Almost forgot, Shosho!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 01/Nov/12 3:04 AM |  |
 Lizzy G - deltz posted on yesterday's 'medium' page. 01/Nov/12 3:04 AM |  |
Shosho... I can see why your cat was sputtering... It looks really heavy! 01/Nov/12 3:07 AM |  |
shosho - no, I wasn't at the meeting yet! Dr. Pepper makes a limited run of their drink sweetened with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. It is only available in a very small area of Texas - I have to get my daughter to buy it for me when she is coming from Kerrville. 01/Nov/12 3:10 AM |  |
Finally almost there. Were are HalT and Karen? 01/Nov/12 3:11 AM |  |
