Apparently there are a lot of folks with good memories on here!

I am an absolute fountain of useless information.

If anyone is interested, these are the song bits used in 'The Flying Saucer'.

Part 1

Open Up That Door by Nappy Brown (saxophone intro only)
The Great Pretender by The Platters (referenced as 'Too Real' by The Clatters)
I Want You To Be My Girl by Frankie Lymon and More...

...and the ball scores: 4-3, 6-2, 8-1

Well, I got a hairbrained notion to conquer my mother's rolls. Someone asked last week, what I did, to figure out my mistakes, and I just said it was all human error. Well, I was right.
Last week, when I read the date on the packet of yeast, it said, best used by June. What is 5 months? Today, More...

'Leepy' eh! Well I have learned my something new for today. Thankyou.

Good afternoon to all! An old photo but that dog is probably still enjoying the snow.

Lizzy, you're quite the optimist. It's rare when the average golf player comes home with the same golf ball they started with.

Lonewolf, some of us have good memories. Others have memories that fade in and out without being reminded of something like 'The Flying Saucer.' As bob Hope said, thanks for the memories.

I have beautiful cinnamon rolls, in their second rising.

Mom did not put what glaze she used, I am guessing it is powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. I think.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, More...

My house, smells like the holidays or Mom's house.
20 more minutes and the final verdict will come out of that hot thing. The rolls are not as fat as Mom's but they are pretty.
11/Nov/13 10:57 AM
Congrats, Karen. Wish I could taste some.
11/Nov/13 11:02 AM
Heidi, close your eyes & breathe deeply. Bet you can smell them. I can.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

( Audience responds)
We will remember them

Let us Remember, Honour & Respect them, now & into the future, both in word & deed.

Give thoughts & prayers also for those affected in the Philippines. The worst storm on record to cross land.
11/Nov/13 12:11 PM
Well, the house smells wonderful, the cinnamon rolls look beautiful and will make perfect targets for anyone that wants to shoot at them. I am thinking of that gun thing, where someone yells PULL, and a disk goes flying in the air, and a gunman shoots. Of course, I cannot think of what that is called.

They would make a great display, for a bakery, to keep up forever.

This time, I do not know, what happened. Probably will figure out next time.
11/Nov/13 12:14 PM
Skeet Karen, it's called skeet.
11/Nov/13 12:26 PM
But I can't believe your cinnamon rolls look like clay pigeons!!
11/Nov/13 12:32 PM
Well... maybe look like, but not taste like.
11/Nov/13 12:33 PM
Why Hal, what do skeet taste like? (& please tell us how you know.)
11/Nov/13 12:36 PM
But, on the other hand, having read your posts over the last 2 or 3 days about your escapades in the kitc..., uh, FPA, who knows?
11/Nov/13 12:36 PM
Well G-h, as a matter of fact, when I was in high school, I had the opportunity to be one of those guys who pulled when someone yelled, 'PULL.'
I tasted lots of clay pigeon that day.

I have just finished filling the washing line. As soon as I came back to the computer a 'Potential Storm' warning flashes onto the screen.
Last night I fell asleep counting the seconds after Lightning Flash. (beats counting sheep) Looks like tonight will be a repeat.
11/Nov/13 12:40 PM
Now Hal, you wouldn't be PULLing my leg, would you?
11/Nov/13 12:45 PM
No, G-h. I really did. A friend of mine did it on a regular basis. And one weekend he asked me if I would like to go with him. I did... once!!
11/Nov/13 12:52 PM
But I'll pull your leg if you like.
11/Nov/13 12:54 PM

Hal, you were supposed to pull the trap machine...........explains a lot about how you are today.
11/Nov/13 12:56 PM
But, but... G-h asked if I was pulling her leg. It was not my idea!
11/Nov/13 1:00 PM
Oh, you just want to pull her leg.

Oh, Fort Hood, is just down the road, I could donate, for their practice sessions, or they could use the rolls as secret amino.
11/Nov/13 1:06 PM
This conversation is getting weirder and weirder. Rolls as secret amino? Amino acids???? What are you making, Karen?
11/Nov/13 1:11 PM
You know, I have been traumatized today, being in that room and all. Please, read what I am thinking, or trying to think, not what is coming out.
11/Nov/13 1:13 PM
OK, it's nearing a page change. And there are several contenders. So, let's start the count down.
