A Washington, DC, airport ticket agent offers some examples of why our country is in trouble!

'I had a New Hampshire Congresswoman ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!)'

More to follow, these are too good to be done all at once. They are unbelievable.

Hello everyone.
11/Jul/07 12:16 AM
I know Jane, it's the 'too good to be' that gives it away. But they are still funny as all hemlock.
11/Jul/07 12:17 AM
Besides, if whoever had put it together had actual documentation that it was true, they would have given names. You would never let something like this go by with out hanging those clowns out to dry.
11/Jul/07 12:21 AM
According to the timer, I finished this puzzle in .08!!!

KATHY/Valrico: how's Ebony? How are YOU?
NAL -- how's ROCKO? I hope all is well. Thinking of you.
Another scorcher in Toronto. Anna Karenina and I will remain indoors with A/C.

Jeb, you know this is all related to the 'dustup' we had yesterday with Susan's joke. Everyone likes to feel like they're not the dumbest bunny in the woods, and jokes that poke fun at another person's (or people's) foibles naturally tickle our funny bone. This does not mean that we are racist or More...

Good Tuesday Maen, all!

Thought for the Day:

Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.

To billy and anne(vt) Just thought you would like to know about the sad demise of my 'Yorkshire museum piece' the Electrolux fridge/freezer. It passed away the other day taking with it the capacity to cool the wine, beer etc. A sad day but having to drink the said wine helped me to get over the More...

andré, how true. Love the hat in the picture. I suspect the cake got cropped out. Celie L (and anybody else curious), Kathy pointed out in yesterday's comments that Nal has put a report on the top of her page about Rocko's progress.

Jane, I take everything you say in a positive manner. I would refer my slant on the airline material to the wisdom of one of our greatest 20th century philosiphers, Will Rogers, and his viewpoints on congress in general. That said, I would hope this brings people to educate themselves, if only a little, about Will. Dang few people even know who he was, these days.
11/Jul/07 12:46 AM
I was refering to the thought for the day. You slipped another one in while I was writing. I will mourn the loss of your fridge as befits it, with my own glass of wine.

André, at a time like this, in your grief and sorrow, it is best to always remember the good times and happy memories. The passing of a vintage beer fridge leaves a tender spot in the hearts of all who have known and loved one.
11/Jul/07 1:05 AM

André, I am saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved fridge. I shall raise a glass of white merlot to it for all of the years of service it has provided. Cheers

11/Jul/07 1:12 AM
Jeb, I'm totally with you. If we can't feel superior to our politicians, who the heck CAN we feel superior to????? And I love Will Rogers BTW.

Andre (how do you add the accent, by the way?), I shall fly my corkscrew at half mast in honor of the passing of your fridge.

Last night, my wife and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, 'I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.'

She got up, unplugged the TV, and threw out my beer.

She's such a b1tch.....

11/Jul/07 1:17 AM
Glenn - Love it!!!!
11/Jul/07 1:18 AM
Jane - The é is done by holding the 'alt' and then the numbers 130 on your keypad.
11/Jul/07 1:20 AM
Thank you keith, Jeb and Linda for thinking of it(the fridge that is, gosh feel overcome with sadness at the mention of it). Linda I will send you a special photo of 'you know who' in the fridge as a momento for you xxx
11/Jul/07 1:21 AM
Thank you Jane x I just saw your comment.
11/Jul/07 1:22 AM
Nal, I'm so very sorry to hear about your precious Rocko. As an ardent animal lover, I know full well what you are going through and can only hope that your burden is at least a little lighter by knowing that so many of us care. I'll keep you and your gentle boy in my thoughts and prayers and will wish for his speedy, full recovery. Bless you and take care.
11/Jul/07 1:23 AM
Cork screws at half mast. Now that is a stroke.
Then comes the 21 cork salute?
11/Jul/07 1:26 AM
Jeb - I can have bottles at the ready.
11/Jul/07 1:29 AM
I will be waiting André
11/Jul/07 1:30 AM
