It is after 21.00hrs and I want to be on the road by 06.00hrs so bed calls. The great adventure starts then.
Please all keep my sis in your thoughts as she had to have biopsies taken from her lower lip and inner cheek today. We hope all will be well as she is a lifelong non-smoker and only light drinker Has to wait a week for results.

Oops, maybe I should try refreshing before commenting, pardon my senior moment. It is 5am here after all!

...haven't seen Hal for a couple of hours. Could the fickle finger of fate have finally singled him out?
13/Oct/10 7:11 AM
You think he's DEAD, Jeb??
13/Oct/10 7:16 AM
1:50 - everyone.
13/Oct/10 7:23 AM
Perhaps the ever vigilant hall monitor clamped Hal in irons and dragged him kicking and screaming to the naughty corner.
13/Oct/10 7:39 AM
But Hal might LIKE that, Kathy ...

Too bad, if that's the case. I was hoping he would figure out the translation if he thought a little longer. No other takers, so here it is:

"Is that a scroll in your toga, or are you just happy to see me?"

I don't know, Judy, I heard the HM had to call in reinforcements to get him under control....

Morning everyone, Neil had me laughing at the start then the rest of you have continued the merriment.

What a hilarious read this morning! Great start to the day.
There seem to be many versions of it, and I always heard it as 'Nil Bastardo Carborundum' - but I guess they all translate into the same thing.

Wish I had time to go back and read, from what I've seen on this page, it looks like it's been fun!

....my extraordinary procrastion of the past few day has caught up with me (I am so good at it!).
13/Oct/10 8:35 AM
I got number 100 - wheeeee!
13/Oct/10 8:36 AM
I am wondering how procrastination can catch up.
I suppose it can!
13/Oct/10 8:36 AM
And I have to really rattle my bones to do some stuff before I head out!

Hey, Rayray - it's so good to see you here. Welcome back!
13/Oct/10 8:37 AM
Don't know either RR - but it has (with a vengeance!)

See, I'm still doing it!!! (Procrastinating, Judy!!)
13/Oct/10 8:38 AM
I always thought the proper phrase was

"Illigetimi non carborundum est!"
13/Oct/10 8:43 AM
It probably is Glenn - I suspect that my version is the Aussie 'near enough is good enough' version.
13/Oct/10 9:00 AM
Another favorite....

"Catapultam habeo. isi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane"

("I have a catapult. Give me all your money, or I will fling an enormous rock at your head")
So what? You drag it into the bank and hand the cashier a note???

Please direct your prayers and positive thoughts for the miners in Chile. The first miner from the underground tomb is expected to be pulled to the surface shortly. God speed and good luck to the successful recovery of all 33.

Fun stuff today

I am off to fix dinner! Have a good evening/day all!
13/Oct/10 9:07 AM
Glenn made me look. This copied off some cyber page. Take your pick. Funny thing though, no one seems to have tired (worn down) from the subject...yet.

There are many variants of the phrase, such as

Nil illegitimi carborundum.
Non illegitimis carborundum.
Illegitimi nil More...

I haven't had the TV on, Greg. Sending all the good and positive thoughts I can! I hope they are all rescued safely.
13/Oct/10 9:13 AM
Kathy needs to quit answering her own questions. I can't help that it takes me all day to get to Sudoku.
13/Oct/10 9:26 AM
Had a lovely week-end with family. Tyler will be 7 tomorrow but we celebrated early. My sister is back in country so that makes it even nicer.
13/Oct/10 9:30 AM
Had to cange into my pumpkin.
13/Oct/10 9:31 AM
And canging can be such a pain, right Sue.
13/Oct/10 9:38 AM
Going away this week-end also. The girls in the family are going to three huge craft shows this week-end in Arkansas, Bentonville, Bella Vista & War Eagle. I hope it is warmer and dryer than last year, had to wear boots and a jacket.
13/Oct/10 9:41 AM
Hal, Changing is a real pain, in more ways than one.
13/Oct/10 9:42 AM
Procrastination of procrastination can be dangerous as it leads to feverish activity that burns holes in carpets
13/Oct/10 9:42 AM
(Sorry I lost connection again then)
