Machination (pronounced matchination)- where you whittle things down to small splinter like objects.
Machination - A nation of robotic like people - called tvland and movieland.
machination: a crafty and involved plot to achieve your (usually sinister) ends [syn: intrigue]
c. 1477 'a plotting intrigue' from L. 9machinationem), pp. of (machinari) contrive, plot, from machina.
Rose - Glad you are going to join us!

Ian/Boston - Perfect, thank you! I will put the art dept. to work on it.
Machination - shortened form of Macho Imagination, where men strut around thinking they are sooo buffed and hot, but are really beer bellied and balding. ;)

The phone rings and the lady of the house answers, 'Hello.''Mrs. Ward, please.'

'Speaking.'

HI
Field of dreams
Greg from Oz
did the earth move for you this morning?
Judy - nearly missed your birthday. Hope it's been a good one.

I always associate 'Daisy, Daisy' with the Pride of Erin, as it was a favourite at the dances I used to go to when I was young - and no, that wasn't the 20's. We were still dancing the Pride of Erin in the 60's.
LynnDee, I hope that all goes well with getting the dresses for the wedding. Sometimes companies just don't seem to care at all. Here, bridesmaids' dresses are often cocktail dresses bought off the rack from dress shops. For my wedding all our flowers were destroyed by a hailstorm, and they didn't More...
JUDY: Thanks for your good wishes ... it's been a good couple of days! Whatever happened to the third member of our ''Judy, Judy, Judy'' Club?? I don't know about you, but I feel incomplete! :)
Several comments: 1) Wonder what Beehive thinks about tthe USA being allowed a military base near Geraldton in WA?
2) Anyone can quit smoking. All it takes is an iron will, and to be locked in a basement for ten years till the urge to smoke passes.
3) Dave? DAVE? What are you doing, Dave? Daisy.... Daisy... give ... me ...your.... an swer.....do.
I thought the flowers were sun flowers. but my mom had told me they were dasieys
Tomorrow morning we'll be taking Son #1 to uni. I suppose it's always hard when your first leaves the nest, but he won't be too far away. He told me to look on the bright side - that our grocery bill will halve! He's such a pleasure to have at home, and so helpful, but it's time to step up the housework training of the younger 2.
Susan not only will the grocery bill halve, so will the washing (laundry)!!
Good luck with your son at Uni, hope he enjoys the Uni Orientation next week.
There's an alternate version to the Daisy song:

Harold, Harold, here is my answer true:
I'm not crazy all for the love of you.
If you can't afford a carriage,
There won't be any marriage
'Cause I'll be switched if I'll be hitched
On a bicycle built for two!!
Afternoon all. My week of freedom is almost at an end. Back to Canberra and work tomorrow. Don't really know that my head is any straighter but I am more rested!
Greg, but did the earth move for you with the earthquake this morning?
Judy/SD - still.
Rola, our washing won't halve until Son #2 leaves home. He's the outdoor kid always getting his clothes dirty, and seems to go through more clothes per week than everyone else put together. You'd swear the 2 boys were raised by different families. They are real opposites, yet get on really well (most of the time anyway).
Thanks, CP ... 4 more hours and it's all over ... except for the big family dinner tomorrow night! After that, I can just settle into being ... old!
Haven't been here in a while but I'm glad I came back tonite to see this gorgeous photo!
In 1983, February 16 was Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent. On that day, devastating bushfires in South Australia and Victoria claimed 75 lives, 2463 homes, plus many other businesses, shops, equipment and stock and burned close to 440,000 hectares of land (not sure what that is in More...
Oops! I remember.
Interesting picture. In my flight of fantasy, the angle of the picture looks like a little fairy had the camera!
Judy! Didn't I wish you yesterday? If I was confused yesterday, I still am today! With everyone on a different time and day, I go crosseyed trying to straighten it out!
Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of HAL 9000 in the movie 2001. Poor HAL going, going, gone singing that song. In the book it wasn't until the book 2061 before you find out why HAL went berserk.
Oh yes, Judy, bite your tongue! You are NOT OLD! We ladies don't get old, we mature like fine wines. We gracefully show our superior rank and wisdom!
Here in Sudokuland birthdays seem to last two days instead of one! Judy's birthday is Feb. 15 which was the date on yesterday's puzzle when it was posted in Australia, but now it's STILL Feb. 15 here in the U.S.!! So before I go to bed JUDY, I'll wish you happy birthday again (I was first More...
Happy birthday again Judy! 11.47 US EST. Nya nya Kathy!
Oops I meant 11.57

What are you talking about Rose? Are you saying there was an earthquake over in WA this morning?
Echo
Are you sure you didn't feel a thing, Greg! Are you aware that you are repeating yourself.
GREG greg greg gre gr g

GREG GREG GReg Greg greg gre gr ggg

Gee, Greg, that was one big ECHO
Susan, well I had ordered my Dress from Edenmaids also, but from my local bridal store. After I got Tasha's call about her bridesmaid dresses, I called to find out about mine. The owner of that store hadn't heard anything from Edenmaids and so called them and found out. She was mad because she had other dresses ordered from them, too.
I think the 'lock up in a basement for at least 10 years' might be my best option to quit smoking! Thanks for all the good wishes! I WILL DO IT FOR MYSELF!!
Helena, Are you the one on Zyban for smoking cessation? Here's the good news: it has the same active ingredient that is in Wellbutrin, an antidepressant which is what I am on for depression. It works on your dopamine, your pleasure center in your brain, so you feel like you've already had that More...
It's still 2/15 over here, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUDY!!!...and many more...

Been having 'puter problems, so using Hubby's until he can figure out what's wrong w/mine (or build me a new one!)
