Good afternoon to all! Seeing this photo, my comment has to be "Chick-a-dee doo dah, Chick-a-dee day, My they are cuties, I must really say!"

However, on reflection about this photo, I hope everyone realizes that a bird in the hand is useless if you have to blow your nose.

A couple had just completed their dinner at a fine restaurant, and the man asked for the check. After he got it, and thinking to impress his date, he called the waiter over and loudly complained that the bill was incorrect.
The waiter patiently reviewed the bill with the man, and it was indeed More...

One of Microsoft Network's finest support techs was drafted into the Army and sent to boot camp.

At the rifle range, he was given some instructions, handed a rifle, and a couple rounds of ammo. He loaded the rifle and fired several shots at the target which was fifty yards away.

Kathy, at that particular time on that day in 1978, I was probably passed out under a table at the local pub, and my wife was probably wondering where I was. However, I really can't honestly say that was extraordinary.

Okay, people. I am on the hunt for something more difficult.

2:08 Hi to all. Busy day today, tired as I don't know what.

Thought for the Day:

It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.

Morning. Current TV footage is live broadcast of the shuttle launch. It's looking like 6th time is the charm. 90 seconds to go.

Currently at Ormond Beach.... 76℉ and raining. Will it never end?????
16/Jul/09 8:18 AM
Don't despair, Heidi! It was a beautiful day here up until about 3 or so. It rained, and now it's clearing up. As long as it doesn't rain all day long, I can live with a few showers here and there!!! (Also, as long as there's no lightning, I don't even mind being out in the rain. Of course, we might have to move the picnic indoors but, hey, it's still going to be fun, fun fun!!!

Good point, Jane. Lightning and water don't mix well with people.

everyone. I'm afraid Fiona & family are probably experiencing their first taste of typical FL weather today. Late afternoon downpours are the norm in the summer around here & are going on right now near Disney & the other tourist attractions. I warned her to expect More...

Have any of you tried the new puzzle called KenKen yet? I did my first one today & it was kind of fun. Unlike Sudoku, this puzzle really does require some math processes, not just placing numbers. Here's a website if you'd like to check it out. The 3 X 3 in the video is really easy. The one More...

Again? Shocking!

Cute chicks!

Kathy - Kenken is a good math puzzle. If I was around next year, I would have been using them in my classes.
I may have to stop dropping in until after Fiona leaves the states!! I am very disappointed I can't show up.

jamie, you really need to light the candles, put on the mood music and a glass of champagne or two should do the trick.

Good night worldly people.

Hubby won't be returning to work on Monday, he's now on long service leave until 20th September. That will be 6 and a half months since the op on his shoulder. At least he is in charge of the washing at home and he does organise some of the meals. I think I need to train him up on the ironing as well.
16/Jul/09 2:36 PM
I got a week off work after my shoulder opperation. I think I must have been in the wrong line of work. I spent the next 6 weeks with my arm strapped to my stomach, but I was on the job. As a teacher, I had to learn how to write on the chalkboard with my off hand. It looked pretty bad, and my students let me know that over and over.
16/Jul/09 2:46 PM
He can't drive trains because of the repetitiveness of pushing/pulling the lever to stop/go. Plus he needs both arms to hold onto the ladder to climb onto the trains. He can't do that either so they won't have him back until he can drive for at least an hour per shift.
He's very happy but More...

Good afternoon all - somebody sent this to me. Hope it's not too late in the day for anyone to see it.
Take the time and spend 8 mins watching this - it's amazing and for those loving
and in awe of technology it is awesome.

16/Jul/09 3:51 PM
Vicki - that's good news and bad news about your Hubby. Good that he's got more time off, bad that his shoulder need more time to heal. Give him our regards.
About Powerball - sorry, this one's got my name on it tonight - for sure this time!
Sorry also about the Maroons last night.

I lost a post in cyber-space yesterday about how State of Origin doesn't work with my divided loyalties. I was born in Sydney but have only spent about 3 years living in NSW, whereas I have lived in QLD for about 11 years in total!

Also yesterday I had a problem posting at all after my initial comment - I had the page heading, and at the bottom everything to post a comment except a dialogue box. Found I could click on smilies and submit them, but no words!!

Beautiful day here, apart from the noise of three police helicopters buzzing overhead...maybe a seige?

Ian have you lengthened your 'hems'?

Victoria, Keith after my ankle surgery (they didn't tell me that they had to saw through my leg bone to get to the ankle!) 2 weeks of staying home and I was ready to return to work but the doctors and my principal wouldn't let me until 4 weeks had past. Then I got to teach from a wheel chair for 2 More...

Wish I could stay here long enough to attend the FionaFest but family duties call me back. Something about my dad and the government!
