I don't do that too often. Anyway, in going to the Fair, I had to park in the far corner of the parking lot. BFE, really. After the fair food, I appreciated the long walk. Mentioned it to a parking attendant, and he laughed 'I know that's right!'

Still think I'll run tonight after picking up Silverteen and crew.

Okay, work here is done, and more than a CP.
17/Oct/14 6:15 AM
1:39. Good morning everyone.

We had a health food restaurant and store here, called The Happy Belly. In my mind, I always said, ''Happy Belly, sad mouth.'' Seems, lots of folks agreed with me. It went out of business after a while. Fair food, on the other hand ... makes me wish I could eat like I did when I was a kid, and didn't care what I ate, and was always healthy.

You can get deep fried anything at the Fair these days, from Coca-Cola to Oreos to pickles to mac & cheese. I'm sure you can get an entire balanced meal deep fried. So what's your favorite fair food?

Morning all,at least the fireworks would be clean.

Sorry everyone had to wait for the banana answer. I'm sure there were many sleepless night while people tried to figure out what the monkeys were up to. I've just been busy and tired. Juggling the two with school is going well it's the additional activities that are taking it's toll. More...

There are a number of things that, when I'm eating them at the Fair, I'd say they're my favorite. On the list would be Turkey legs (more often found at a Renaissance Fair), corn dogs, and Kielbasa. Really good French Fries are up there on the list, too.
17/Oct/14 7:48 AM
Good morning.
17/Oct/14 7:49 AM
Silvergal, what is kielbasa?
17/Oct/14 7:51 AM
And can you please explain BFE.
17/Oct/14 7:52 AM
Think I worked out MOPS.

I Like knowing all the differences in our languages, for - fair food (show food - food you get at the show), and what abbreviations mean.
17/Oct/14 7:55 AM
CP, kiebasa, I believe is sausage.
BFE is bum freaking Egypt, unless you say no-no words, then the F is a naughty word.
As for MOPS, your guess is as good as mine. Though I am not guessing, my brain cell is trying to pick one favorite fair food.

Ha-ha, CP ...I had to 'google' MOPS although the 'M' was a bit of a clue. Great idea, Serena; as well as what a step forward for your little one to join an activity!

There is corn on the cob on a stick.
17/Oct/14 8:04 AM
Cotton candy.
17/Oct/14 8:05 AM
Hot dog on a stick.
17/Oct/14 8:06 AM

Funnel cake.
17/Oct/14 8:07 AM
Excuse me now, I need to go check my sugar levels.
17/Oct/14 8:08 AM
MOPS - Moms of Preschoolers. Serena, I was involved in that, oh, 14 years ago! And I hear ya on the extra activities. I only have one kiddo, and Gretta Jetta is frequently a taxi with me as the cabbie! Thing is, even when she gets her license, we won't have an extra car.

Karen's right on the other inquiries, CP. BFE: bum-flip-Egypt, ie. the middle of flippin' nowhere or way far away. Kielbasa is a polish-style sausage, maybe you know it as kubasa? Served with peppers/onions. Not as sweet as Italian sausage. Wikipedia has a pretty good & readable page on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kielbasa

Fiske Fries have the local fair market! They're also very good, I like the malt vinegar they make available. Best thing to do is go to the Fair with a buddy, buy different things and share/split 'em.

all. Beautiful sunny day here today, after all the cold.
17/Oct/14 9:13 AM
And another day comes to an end.

Well, for me it does! Night all.

I enjoyed googling BFE for all the many other more serious things it means, but 'way out in the middle of nowhere' being FIRST in the results! I'd have thought Siberia or Antarctica being more the nowhere near anything place than Egypt, which for many thousands of years has been in the middle of everything, close to Europe, the rest of Africa, and Asia.

I'd have thought the activity on this website would be enough adult company for anyone, Serena!
17/Oct/14 3:03 PM
While I would never think of eating more than one full size candy bar, I am having no problem eating many Halloween size ones, adding up to several full sizes!
17/Oct/14 3:05 PM
Good Afternoon everyone. It has been a while since I have visited here. Nearly forgot how to do Sudoku.
Hope everyone is fit and well and that is a bit scary in your neck of the woods Karen.

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The pharmacist at the counter asked the older boy. 'Son, how old are you?'

'Eight', the boy replied.

The man continued. 'Do you know what these More...
