Good maeN everyone,

Yes, I know that the coming US election is important. However, I saw on youtube a clever remix of the Obama/McCain debate edited together with reactions from the So You Think You Can Dance judges.

everyone ...
This is strange. I posted three times after midnight and it posted on yesterday sudoku. Computers ... I will never understand them.

Dave - it must have been the goblins messing with your computer.

...and speaking of goblins, we got more trick-or-treaters last night than we've ever had - no matter where we've lived! One group that came by had 15 kids! There were some great costumes, too!

PS: I ran out of nickels and had to break into my dimes and quarters!

We had only 2 (two) Trick or Treaters! That was one more than last year!
We don't live in a neighborhood/neighbourhood with houses close enough together to make it worth their while!

And now I've got to get ready for the day. We're heading down to Redfern Village this afternoon to watch the "Big Game" (GA-FLA) at a restaurant where they've pitched a humongous tent outside, installed a 25 by 20-foot projection screen and will be serving all-you-can-consume beer and More...

We had fewer trick or treaters last night than we've ever had, only 6! I have all this left over candy!

Hold out your bags.... I'm sharing the wealth!

Sounds like lots of fun, Jane!
Hope you have enough $$$ left after the Trick or Treaters stopped coming!

It rained last night, so I only had about 60 kids in all. Last year it was over 100, and most were trucked in from somewhere else. I think I'll go back to the cheap candy.

What am I still doing here???
I have 30-40 people coming over tonight expecting food & drinks!!!
I'll just grab a couple of pieces from Kathy and get MOVING!!!!

Sounds like fun, Jane! I am leaving in a while to take "hazardous waste" (paint, oil, electronics, etc) to the stadium here. The city has set up a recycling center today at the baseball stadium parking lot. Hubby is off doing his sports thing (he did load everything into my trunk last night).
I'd rather go with Jane!

Kathy - although I don't have any leftover candy to worry about, I saw an item in our local newspaper about a guy who buys left-over (wrapped) Halloween candy for $1 a pound, then ships it to our servicemen overseas.

I just discovered that a single question mark (?) cannot be posted, so that's why I didn't win. Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!!

Looks like I got 22 without even trying. Sorry Jane. Have a great day.

For those of you who missed my post yesterday, I changed my youTube to Phil Plait explaining why the blackholes have the tremendous gravitational pull. He's interesting and understandable. He was recommended by the blogger on BadAstronomy.com which is now a part of Discover newsletter. So it's creditable.

Hello all! I have returned from my 50th BD trip to Palm Desert and am swamped at work. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you sudokuists (too numerous to mention) who left birthday wishes for me on my page. It was a great surprise to come home to. Looking forward to my sixth decade.

Last night reminded me of 1964 - and here's why. Small children are aware enough of the world that they know an election is about to be held. They also typically live in homes which lean toward one party or the other. In 1964, I was certain that Barry Goldwater would be elected President, because More...

I would like to remind all Americans that whichever candidate wins, that will be our President. The next President will need the efforts of all of us to help this country get out of the hole we find ourselves in. On November 5 the election will be over and I urge all partisans to rally to the flag!

Good morning, nice to hear everyone survived Halloween. Being one of my favorite holidays, always love seeing the kids dressed up my favorite from last nignt was a geisha, she realy loked the part.
Back to the real world, time to start thinking about Thanksgiving. Setting a table for 20 people, now to work out all the details.

Sudokuland! We are having chocolate for breakfast, lunch and diner today. We usually have around 12 trick or treaters. (3 are my own!) It is a small neighborhood and the neighbors are incredibly generous. Two of the older boys run around once, change costumes then do it again. Nice kids, good families, so we don't mind the double dipping!
