1:49 Little Miss/Mr Suds. Good Morning Denny, Wolf and everyone. Not much celebrating here, Wolf. We've had 486 heat related deaths, so far and our little inland town that set the 48C/48F record on Monday has apparently now been consumed by wildfire. And even more unmarked graves were discovered yesterday. Much to think about and not too much to celebrate, this Canada Day.

1:44 Good morning Denny, Wolf, Tom and all who follow the leader. Up later tonight as I've been watching the Wimbledon Tennis.
Good night all.

everyone!
I have been reading about the graves at the Residential Schools, Tom. What a horrific situation. ''Man's inhumanity to man'' comes to mind. Our country is certainly guilty of that, too. I suppose all countries, one way or another, are to some extent.

Huh?!? I remembered to turn on the timer but for some odd reason it stopped a 1 second. I didn't notice it until I finished the puzzle! Oh well, there's tomorrow.

Still waiting. I suppose it might help if I turn the light off and get off the puter. Yeah...I'll try that.

More than horrific, Kathy. I don't know about you, but none of my schools had graveyards. But these schools did. They abused and lost hundreds and hundreds of the children in their individual care, all across Canada, for decades and decades, and just quietly laid them aside. All the major Catholic and Protestant denominations, who ran the schools, were complicit. As were the governments that mandated and funded them. And as were all of we non-indigenous people with eyes and ears who lived in Canada in those years.

1:43 Good Morning All.
Sad news about BC Tom, hope the heat breaks.
Here we had the 'stolen generations', and non-europeans being classed as aliens.
Certainly hope that we have learned from this history.

Our responsibility is to keep teaching, talking, & exposing the horrific acts committed throughout history - we dare not hide the truths of our nations' crimes - lest we forget! - or else they will be repeated!
