Good morning.

Hi Hal, Hi Plum.
02/Aug/16 12:01 AM
Lots of lighthouses here in the Great Lakes State.
02/Aug/16 12:02 AM
Didn't even sleep until 2am today.
02/Aug/16 12:02 AM
We don't seem to have as many lighthouses as you in the US.
02/Aug/16 12:03 AM
Or maybe we do and just not the populated areas that people see them in.
02/Aug/16 12:04 AM
čîůtraveled along the Oregon coast to see the lighthouses- in Michigan- enjoy St. Joseph- has a carousel also
02/Aug/16 12:08 AM
In St. Joe they also have a nice little chocolate shop - about 7 types of hot chocolate. If I lived ther, that would be my weekly treat ! A different one each week - I have played around with the chai hot chocolate- that was good

Here in Michigan we love our lighthouses. People do shoreline drives to collect photos of as many as possible. Winter is especially photogenic because the frozen lake waves and spray make interesting ice accretions.

MD visit tomorrow with X-Ray planned - wish me well
When you pray for patience- you need to be able to handle the challenges that teach you patience.

Usually they are given in the grocery checkout lines

I found that I enjoy bookmarks of the lighthouses - I see the picture and enjoy the outing I had while reading my book
02/Aug/16 12:17 AM
Wish you well, mymare. You're right. We love our chocolates here in Michigan. Besides the iconic fudge shops there are independent chocolatiers everywhere.
02/Aug/16 12:22 AM
Morning. A chocolate/lighthouse tour sounds great fun.
02/Aug/16 12:28 AM
For Valentine's Day a local library offered a side by side tasting of truffles from shops within a easy driving radius. My favorite chocolatier by far for eye appeal, flavor, texture and serving size was a place in Kalamazoo called Confections with Convictions. They use fair trade organic More...

I will be happy to host just such a tour, Keith.
02/Aug/16 12:38 AM
There was one truffle that was white chocolate with champagne and rose water with a delicate piped rose on ok. It was heavenly. And their fruit truffles burst with flavor. I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but mmmmmmm.

Lake Michigan shoreline is a wonderful place to enjoy the scenery any time of day but I like long and lingering summer sunsets the best. There are many campgrounds along the shoreline near fun, artsy tourist towns. There is even a gorilla sculpture on a sidewalk in downtown St. Joseph that always makes me think of Jamie.

Wanna race for 22?
02/Aug/16 12:44 AM
I think I feel up to the challenge today.
02/Aug/16 12:45 AM
I did get FPOTD.
02/Aug/16 12:45 AM
02/Aug/16 12:45 AM
Aw, Keith. You were there and then you disappeared.
02/Aug/16 12:46 AM
Well, FPOTD instead of HalT. 22 instead of Keith. And I outposted poor sleepy CP.

I guess I need to let someone else have a turn today. Off to play the kakuro. Then I need to actually get 'real stuff' done.
02/Aug/16 12:48 AM
We stayed at a lighthouse B&B on the upper peninsula of Michigan 3 or 4 years ago. Great trip.
02/Aug/16 12:49 AM
Missed the race. Shucks. Was off checking out Facebook.
02/Aug/16 12:51 AM
I have been in that lighthouse. It was moved away from the erroding shore just in time to save it from falling in the Atlantic Ocean. Quite a process, funded by donations.

Check out http://www.nausetlight.org/ for the story.

Wow, Pam. That coastline sure does take a beating!
02/Aug/16 1:15 AM
I guess I'm going to have to create my own Math Monday puzzle. I have nearly $1000 in medical bills from just one back xray that didn't even result in help for the pain, sciatica or neuropathy I'm experiencing. The puzzle is, how am I going to pay the bill and how am I going to be able to afford More...

It does Plum. They lose an average of three feet a year to the ocean.

Good morning - oops, I think it's now good afternoon - have a grand day all!
02/Aug/16 2:01 AM
When I was in girl scouts, my friends and I slept overnight in the lighthouse in San Pedro. It was one of our adventures due to the rumors abound that it was haunted. Darn even the mice and ghosts were silent that night!
02/Aug/16 2:02 AM
Kathy, not sure if Maryland's flooding rains were anywhere near you - hope all is well in your world.
02/Aug/16 2:03 AM
My most favorite chocolatier is Leonidas of Belgium! My brother who used to live there, would buy kilos and kilos of their chocolate and then try to explain to them and the airport personnel that his sister wouldn't let him back in the US without the chocolate!
02/Aug/16 2:04 AM
Sue, nice to see you've returned after several weeks of adventurous train travel & if I recall correctly - some relative visits as well! Always a delight to sleep in one's own bed!
02/Aug/16 2:05 AM
Their chocolate was soooo rich and the fillings (especially the alcoholic ones) was fluffy and so mouthwatering! Here's a pic of their box!!!
