Gath the farmer was in the fertilised egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets' and eight or ten roosters, whose job was to fertilise the eggs.

The farmer kept records and any rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced. That More...

Subject: Fw: The Dentist

A man goes to a dental surgeon to have a tooth pulled.
The dentist pulls out a needle for an injection

"No way! No needles! I hate needles!" the patient said.

The dentist starts to hook up the laughing gas and again the man objects.

Anne - My first husband cooked like that. We were married just four years. My second husband would rather I get out of the kitchen wile he cooked ( smoked tea duck, tamales, and black bean chicken etc.) He died just 6 days short of our 50th.

Good morning Worldly People

I will be happy to share my Thanksgiving Day with people all over.
I would like to thank I am thankful for all my small blessing everyday but today I am having overwhelming feelings, especially after reading yesterdays post.
I am so thankful that I still have my mom and grandma to celebrate special occocasions with.
23/Nov/07 1:30 AM
Kathy, it doesn't matter if you're Christian or not, you still have many things to be thankful. Having a special occasion to use as an excuse to gather up the family is thanks enough! Heck if you're having fun with your holidays, mind if I join you?
23/Nov/07 1:32 AM
I regard myself as being a (true)Christian, but we do not celebrate Thanksgiving Day here in UK. We do celebrate Harvest Festival. What you perhaps mean is I am not (yet) an 'American Christian', as we have not yet been invaded by aggressive members of America's heretical Bible-belt. Perhaps you do not celebrate the traditional Harvest Festival in which provide thanks for our crops.

Boy, daylight savings thing in Australia versus our getting off of it, puts us nineteen hours apart instead of eighteen hours! I think?

Shosho, please come on along. Rob & I will be leaving for Orlando about noon to drive to our daughter's home where we'll join her family & some neighbors & friends - a big crowd. Her husband is a great cook & is doing most of the dinner preparations - another thing for which I am More...
