Good Maen, good people. Now in addition to medicating a wobbly cat we are dogsitting an extra dog. Our lab is ecstatic (read jumping all over) about the company. Our borrowed blue heeler is unsure about sharing her new space with a jumping lab and three cats who are much more incensed about having to share their space with a strange dog.

Everyone is coping in their own way. Burl has headed out to the studio. Skye is taking a shower. Faun is reassuring her cats, and the heeler is, appropriately enough, taking refuge at my feet in the footwell area of my desk. The lab is back and forth looking for someone, anyone to play with and More...

Of course, the funny part is that, if you read between the lines, MY way of 'coping' with the chaos is to come over to the computer and tell you all about it.

I know what you mean, Plum. We had a dog, a rabbit, and a cat visiting over the holidays. I never knew what was going to jump in my lap anytime I sat down. It certainly made life interesting.

Joyce, check your messages. I found the answers in my ''circular file''.

Today's poozle asks you to start with a single letter and make a nine letter word, and then go back to a single word. You have to do this by adding (or subtracting) one letter at a time and making a word each time. You can rearrange the order of the letters. Clues as to More...

Good morning everyone!
Had a lovely day making dollhouse furniture, with lots of friendly and helpful people. It was fun! Also raked up leaves (ooh, my back!) - NOT fun!
Got to hold my lovely granddaughter for a while - so pretty! (Till she started crying ...!) Hope you are all well and happy.

It was quite doable, Wombat. Thanks. Only one entry gave me pause.

Well, I'm going to see if I can take a short nap then get up a bit after midnight to take a quick peek at the night sky and see what there is to see.

I thought the skywatching was yesterday, but we had rain so there was nothing to watch.

Fully intended to snaffle Keith's twenty two this morning but Wombat ran interference for him and I got caught up his poozle instead, then promptly forgot......must be suffering from CRAFT.

Here are the results of Saturday's poozle. Eleven people submitted responses and once again I was the only one to make a mistake. The eleven 100 percenters were Judy, lonewoof, Plum, Kathy, Cake Lady, Tyranids, Hal, Sarah, Peter, Amelia and Aileen.

Saw some shooting stars. And planes. There is an air traffic lane over our house and we can almost always see them. But why were they travelling in the middle of the night? I had hoped that the solar storm, strong over the Atlantic, would build into a visible aurora for us, but it fizzled. We have so few clear mild nights for viewing it was worth some lost sleep to try.

It's getting harder to see satellites and the milky way due to light pollution. We would have to travel to a dark sky park or remote place up north to enjoy stargazing the way we used to. One would think I was rural enough, but no. I am in the middle of a triangle of cities giving off nighttime glows.
24/Apr/17 11:20 PM
Me too, Wombat - I sent all correct answers so that means you had a full dozen 100 percenters!

Since I've known them, my in-laws have had either Australian shepherds or heelers. I guess they like Aussie herd dogs. It was funny when all their grandkids were young and running about, the dog's instinct would kick in and he or she would chase the kids, run circles around them and nuzzle their heels, trying to keep them herded.

Goes to prove that Sudokuland likes Wombat's poozles!!!!!!!!!!!! (12 exclamation points)
