My goodness, someone has to turn the page. You're making me work on a hot day like today?

Well, since no one is here to play, I guess I'll go find a good book. Did you know that a library without media stations is like a room full of books? See y'all later ...

Plum, re: your 'old fart' question, there is a Canadian in our community (who shall remain nameless) who has been known to use the expression.

Good afternoon to all! I wonder if this photo was taken near to King's Pwak, because what came to mind when I saw the caption was Flatt and Scruggs performing the "Foggy Mountain Breakdown."

Geez, thank goodness Jane was around today or I'd be posting on the first page! What's with the rotating avatars Jane?

Ian. I think the person you are referring to only uses that term as an endearing expression to those "old farts" who deserve it!

2:20 - not sure I'd like to be playing sodder on that field!

I noticed that Anne stuck around to get the first post today. She must have had trouble getting to sleep again!

Okay, just in an effort to keep up with Jane, I'll CP, but I'll thank the CP professional who started this trend. Cheers Cath!

Damn, I hadn't noticed Chris running his marathon and interrupting my CP. Keep on running Chris!

CG - from one old fart to another - you only needed two more posts to go ahead and finish a CP!?
Headed out back to do some yard work, and think about #4 from Kathy's puzzle. The old brain isn't working.

2.41 I remember taking my son to a soccer match and when we arrived, we couldn't even see the field for fog. When the kids went out to play, it was extremely difficult to tell who did what!

HI all. Another beautiful day in San Francisco and a perfect one for getting out on a boat to Alcatraz - dreary old place needs sunshine to be bearable. Lovely views around the bay and lots of people out on the water with their expensive toys. Otis Redding couldn't have picked a nicer place to waste some time.

Good Evening, Folks! The sun finally set so I am finished with yardwork. I cut the grass today, then did more gardening. Weeding weeding weeding, rather be reading! My kids will that fart poem! Almost as much as they love to fart!

Be careful what you wish for? High winds and 3-5 inches of rain this evening have brought a bit of a cool down to the area. Absolutely stunning lightning and roaring thunder.

I should go out to the pole building to take the fan off the chicks, but to get there I'd need to splash through More...

Oh Amelia! Such a question. It was too many years ago to remember, and I was probably so busy trying to keep warm that I wasn't paying attention anyway!

Well, the fine weather has continued and I had a lovely walk on the beach this evening. It was absolutely idyllic with a lovely pink tinted sky and full moon as the sun went down.

S'more fun stuff.............

A doctor examining a woman who had been

rushed to the Emergency Room, took the husband aside, and said, 'I don't like the looks of your wife at all.'
'Me neither doc,' said the husband.
'But she's a great cook and really good with the kids.

And, one of my my favorites is:

The graveside service just barely finished, when there was a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumbling in the distance.
The little old man looked at the preacher and calmly said,

'Well......she's there.'
