G'day mates, here's today's medical daffynition especially for HalT:
Castrate - Market price for setting a fracture.

..And here's today's factoid:
Most experts believe that Jack the Ripper was left-handed.
(or maybe he had a cast on his right arm)

Only one person ventured out into rebus world. Congratulations to Canuk Greg who knew from previous job experience that ''harp prah'' is two-faced liar (lyre). A copy of Peter Sterling’s ‘Harp Magic’ is on the way.

I am late coming on-site today because I was reading a first-hand account of the blitzkrieg of London. A friend in my watercolor class lived through it as a young girl and would occasionally mention tidbits of that time to me. I had told her that she should write down her memories. She did and gave More...

Yesterday, I turned the ACs off in the morning, because my darlings said they were cold, since we were not home, they stayed off till 3. When we got home, I turned those suckers on high and it seemed like forever before we cooled off. Two hours later, I turned them off and opened the doors, it felt More...

My condolence, Karen. It's always sad when friends pass away.
(Our friend's memorial is on Tuesday. We figured that we have stayed with them - either at our house or their house in Wales - for a total of 4 months over the years.)

Hubby took off work today. He was planning on raking leaves, but since it's raining, we're going to the Detroit art museum instead to see a Faberge exhibit.

Shiela, I had a different view, on Arnold's passing. He has been sick for so long, that I am happy his suffering is over. The person my heart goes out to is his wife, just 3 months ago, she helped us bury my mother, now her husband and her mother is not doing well either. She is the one suffering now and that is what hurts.

Shiela, Man has the day off too, though it was mandatory, he was in a slight accident yesterday, so had to take today off to go through a safety class. In my opinion, it is a little late for the safety class, but he is sitting in a room right now watching a safety video. Messed up our morning More...

Darn, the other child is yelling for breakfast. I do wish these people would get out of the habit of eating everyday, several times a day. I do not recall my mother always preparing food. Sometimes lunch, always dinner, rarely breakfast.

Quiet here today. Karen I agree about the cold when there is an almost 49 degree difference from one day to the next that is not good. Our change came yesterday before noon. I had to go out so that ment finding the long pants and a rain jacket.

Sue, had to go on the hunt for long pants this morning, too. After way to long of hunting, found a pair, pulled them and they promptly fell off. Darn. Hate that when that happens.
Only can tell weight loss in my close, the sadist machine, has been going in the wrong direction lately and the mirror, I avoid.

A phone call from Man, informed me he was suspended for 3 days. No problem, he went in today, which is considered day one and he was paid, he only works on some Saturdays, which would be day two, off on Sundays, then day three, would be Monday. We were both happy that he would be off on Monday, so More...

Just as Thing II and I were sitting down to breakfast, another phone call, (yes, this is Man and mines only mode of communication), asked if I wanted Chick-fill-a for lunch. Well, yeah, why could he not have called me 20 minutes ago, before I went into that room?
Since, Thing II and I were eating, Chick-fill-a was nixed, but a plan to drop Things off at MIL's and dinner out was planned.
