God morning everyone. G-h I learned a slightly different version:
Spring has sprung,
The grass has riz.
I wonder where the birdies is.
The bird is on the wing,
But that's absurd.
I always thought the wing is on the bird!

I googled it too and found lots of different versions. My mother always used to say it. The full poem is quite long, but we only knew our version of the beginning.

My memory is corrected, Sacky. You are quite right, in fact after I pushed the 'submit' button I remembered that line, but not exactly where it resided. My Grandfather had a lot of quirky poems & other puzzles, stories & memory teasers. He taught me to say the alphabet backwards, play the solitaire game involving marbles in a + formation & Cribbage.

My favourite (when I was very young, OK?):

Fuzzy Wazzy was a bear,
Fuzzy Wazzy had no hair,
Fuzzy Wazzy wasn't fuzzy, was he?

My oldie is:
Ooey Gooey was a worm,

Sat upon the railroad track
Ooey gooey!
03/Sep/13 9:15 AM
Ha ha Shosho, that is the same offering I was referring to as Erkey Perkey.
03/Sep/13 9:29 AM
or at least very similar

Erkey Perkey was a worm,
A little worm was he,
He crawled upon the railroad track,
The train he did not see...

I eat my peas with honey
I done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife.

Hi everyone. I personally like The Owl and the Pusscat went to sea, in a beautiful pea-green boat. But for the life of me cannot remember any words after that.

I just re-acquainted myself with the lyrics DOA.
In the process went to a page of a lady who does pottery and she had for sale an owl and a pussycat in a beautiful pea green boat. I have sent an email asking the price lol
Oh dear this is not getting my Avon orders written up. I must stop googling.
03/Sep/13 2:26 PM
Will just do the MEDIUM first. Hehehehe
03/Sep/13 2:27 PM

03/Sep/13 2:41 PM
DoA, that has always been one of my favourites, too.

And the mome rathskellers outgrabe
03/Sep/13 7:13 PM
Last line rathskellers is just raths. I thought I had caught all the automatic corrections.

While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of nowhere.

She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.
