The boss has been out to buy the Melbourne cup lunch. We are having prawns and quiche (or egg and bacon pie for the real men) along with beer and champagne. He also bought some rabbit ears so we can watch the cup on the tv he brought in from home.
We'll be off to the board room soon, eating, drinking and making merry.
C'mon you good thing!!

Congratulations Saylz.

I've only ever had one win on the Melbourne cup and that was the year Makybe Diva won for the third time - even then it was an each way bet.

And Rayray, you're incorrigible! Whipping out these (snort, oh dear, . . . giggle. . . ahem. . . straighten out glasses, gone askew by brief seizure of guffawing) ridiculous verses! (oh dear, feel a smirk seizing control of my facial muscles) Must stop before I lose my dignity.

Both parents have not grown up and love fighting with each other regardless of how this affects the children. When they try to involve the teachers, it drives me up the wall. I just want to scream, "Behave yourselves!!!!"
