Sorry Vici, I missed dedicating your number to you.
Thank you, Shiela for waiting! I'll still share my lucky number with you! Luck flying to you!

Good Maen, good people. I've been like the tide the last two or three weeks, drifting in and out of my home twice a day. I need to take care of a considerable amount of flotsam and jetsam today.

I somehow lost my glasses last night, couldn't them this morning and hubby is still asleep! When he wakes up, I'll have him help me look for them. I'm squinting to see the monitor! A strain! Hope to see you later!

Then it's back to the farm sitting (livestock know no holidays). IF I can get the pool chemistry worked out and IF it warms up and finally gives us a rainless day, I may be able to go swimming in my friend's pool on the 4th of July.

Here, Shosho Try these! Maybe they're prescription!

Greg, Jim, Shiela, Shosho - so nice to wash ashore in Sudokuland and see you're keeping the beach fires burning.

You know it, Shiela, and we haven't had it as bad as Northern Indiana, which has had 13' of rain this last week!

I've never seen such abundant blankets of orange tiger lilies everywhere roadside. It takes something extraordinary to diminish the effect of shoulder-height bright blue chicory growing in the same areas. My garden is choked out with grass and weeds and it's been too wet to hoe.

Wow, Plum, our roadside flowers are tiny things-wild radish, mustard, broom, all invasive exotics brought in by the Spanish padres.

This year I'm going to see the fireworks with my SIL's family. We can see it from the bay. A rich woman treats the neighborhood to a show of rockets in dedication to her late husband.

From SIL's house we can see the entire Santa Monica Bay. I love the glass fence, can see out without the bay winds.

I'm trying to figure out if the cat's couch has a Steeler's afghan and pillow or if the entire couch is upholstered in Steelers fabric? Maybe the cat's looking for the Sports section?

What an elaborate litter box. Not a Steelers fan, I guess.

I'm going to have to check in more often. I'm anxious to know what Fiona's ''new toy'' is! The mind boggles.....

shosho - in addition, there are sweet pea, crown vetch, spider wort, cinquefoil, indian paintbrush, yellow salsify and milkweed blooming right now. The dame's rocket and lily of the valley was rampant this spring, but the mayapples, violets and other spring flowers (including the dogwoods) suffered from the late frosts.

Come and visit, shosho, but you'll probably suffer from the pollen and humidity. It's so NOT California here in SW Michigan.

4 days ago, I got ambitious to clean the oscollating fans. Really, was not that ambitious, because it 4 days, and 45 minutes this morning. Got them all set up and ready for them to do their duty, only to learn after all that cleaning, they do not work. Humph.

Mmmmm. I love how creamy room temp brie is. The BEST cracker to go with brie is the Meijer brand pepper poppy seed water cracker. Believe me, I've tried a lot of brie and _____ to find this perfect match.

Karen, I too seem to break fans when I try to clean them. I really try not to get gunk down into the workings, but I guess that the gunk has to go somewhere.
