This is one reason I never finish anything. Yesterday, I was working on trimming bushes and "volunteer" trees when TM comes in from the shop and hollers at me that he's been stung. He was bitten by paper wasps at least 3 times just under his left eye. The patient survived, and the swelling is down this morning.
05/Jul/11 12:07 AM
I just had two fish fillets that looked like that.
05/Jul/11 12:07 AM
sorry about the wasps. Mine come when I start to water and wait until I put some in the dish for them. They never offer to sting me.

We had a little tragedy last night.
This is not the time of year for this to happen. One of our air conditioning units died last night. I blame Mike. He messed with the settings Saturday, that evening it started making a strange noise, Sunday it started making a horrible noise, then last night More...

It was down to 80F here...26.6C yesterday, but very humid. It is supposed to get up to 98F here today. TM wants to put up another wire fence. I will need to do that in jeans/pants to avoid scracthed legs and fly bites. We need to start soon, I think!
05/Jul/11 12:11 AM
Oh, Karen, I'm glad there was more than one of those units! RIP AC unit. 15 years is a long time.
05/Jul/11 12:13 AM
Ouch, Sarah Beth. Glad your patient is recovering.
05/Jul/11 12:13 AM
Dorthea, I think I would hose down the toys he doesn't use very often prior to attempting to service them. All sorts of interesting critters take residence, not to mention they are dirty.
05/Jul/11 12:17 AM
Sarah Beth, he was a good one and serviced us well. We made it down, to 91F (I will not try that C thing) last night, but his protege (my accent did not work) worked nicely.
05/Jul/11 12:17 AM
Off to fence. ...not!
05/Jul/11 12:20 AM
Man keeps interrupting my peaceful morning of no demands, my last of being childless.
It is so quiet here, the only noise is the taping of my fingers and the hum of the machines that must hum. Miss my little darlings. Last call with MIL, she said she is totally exhausted, the girls just do not More...

I can feel your excitement, Sarah Beth. It is about like how much I so wish I could join you.
Just know, I will think about you while you are out there in the heat, in clothes, while I am enjoying my peace and no demands.
05/Jul/11 12:24 AM
Dorthea and Jeanine are you two still around. I am not moving unless I absolutely have to. Well, at least not until nap time, anyway.
05/Jul/11 12:26 AM
Ya know I am not leaving just yet.
05/Jul/11 12:26 AM
Shosho, should be back from her run by now. Or is it time for her to get up?
05/Jul/11 12:27 AM
OK, I did it. Now, off to do the stressful service of playing my games, uninterrupted.

to all & Happy 4th of July to Americans.
Capt. J - I liked your comments on freedom yesterday. Today at 1 PM EST there will be a Freedom Flyover by Air Force F-16's all along the coast of South Carolina. Organizers hope for 1 million people to be dressed in red, white More...

Whew, thank goodness I didn't steal the #22 or interrrupt Karen's CP. The guilt would have been too much to bear. My condolences on the the death of your faithful AC, Karen. Don't over exert yourself, today
05/Jul/11 12:34 AM
Sarah Beth - the things you accomplish every day make me feel absolutely lazy by comparison. I hope TM appreciates all you do for him!!
05/Jul/11 12:38 AM
Our sweet granddaughter Asa went home yesterday, so our 4th of July will seem very quiet. We sure enjoyed her visit & I think she did, too.

05/Jul/11 12:42 AM
Has Shiela reported back on how her cat's doing?
05/Jul/11 12:42 AM
A double CP - has that been done before? Maybe Karen or someone else will know??
05/Jul/11 12:45 AM
Kathy, never worry about interrupting me, I will keep on typing, no problem.
I am enjoying my lazy morning, though I did get up and did something, which is leading to another thought of doing something else, but I made myself sit down and resume my peacefulness again. We have a busy month ahead of use, that I do not see another morning like this for a long time.
05/Jul/11 12:48 AM
Been waiting for a report from Sheila too, maybe she will report in today, unless she is still celebrating the long weekend.
05/Jul/11 12:49 AM
05/Jul/11 12:50 AM
I do not recall you making a double CP before. I know I have given it a try, but never succeeded on a double, that I can remember.
05/Jul/11 12:51 AM
Hello Canuk Greg.
05/Jul/11 12:52 AM
This is just not right. I don't think I can sit for long periods of time without popping up and doing something.
Sure with practice, I maybe able to do it, but looks like it is going to take lots of practice.

HI all! Happy 4th of July, America!
I have to go and pick my car up from the garage -while in there for a service last week they managed to destroy the bonnet and so I shall have a nice new shiny one this evening. So a puzzle in keeping with my day for you - answers to the 'bonnet or hood?' More...
