good Maen, good people)

I KNOW I typed an open parentheses at the beginning of the 3rd line!
I hope this isn't how my day goes ...
06/May/10 12:01 AM
everyone!
Sounds like a good day to me...
Some sunshine with a high of 71°F (21°C) today.
Possible rain later so things won't dry out.
I think poor Tennessee has been getting all our rain because parts of Michigan have had a very dry spring.
06/May/10 12:01 AM
There are days like that, Plum!
Hello, John! First again, I see.
06/May/10 12:02 AM
I wish things would dry out a little here. Roads are still closed and the National Guard is still out in force because of the flooding in our area.
06/May/10 12:04 AM
Talk about extreme sports!
06/May/10 12:05 AM
As to the discussion about ice packs at the end of yesterday's Easy... I can't see any reason other than for ice packs to buy a bag of frozen peas. I've been using them for flexible ice packs for decades.
06/May/10 12:07 AM
Oooooh... cold sport! Hypothermia in 3...2...1...
06/May/10 12:09 AM
Speaking of peas ... this sport would certainly freeze them off!
06/May/10 12:11 AM
Oh, YEAH
06/May/10 12:18 AM
Only problem with the 'frozen pea ice bag'...
Since they thaw out a bit while using, I forget which peas I have used for an ice bag and which ones I haven't.

Hey, CP ... wake up! Your "boyfriend" is on the Parents' Page!

Learn something new every day -- I thought all the Antarctic lakes were subglacial.

1:59 Hi to all. That looks fun to do!

Thought for the Day:

We are all travellers in the wilderness of this world, and the best we can find in our travels is an honest friend.

...or Johnny Depp.
06/May/10 12:45 AM
everyone!

What size peas do you have in those bags, Judy???

...and I hope the ice on that lake was VERY thick!
06/May/10 12:47 AM
andré - I may be going out on a limb here, but I'll bet you can put your hands on a home video copy of 'Chocolat' in under 1 minute?
06/May/10 12:50 AM
Kathy - you've got mail.
06/May/10 12:52 AM
Shiela - I suppose if you wanted to keep one bag of peas to refreeze over and over you could take a sharpie or chisel tip marker and write 'Rx' on the bag? It could save embarrasment some days when cooking a bag of frozen peas for company.
06/May/10 12:55 AM
Daplap - considering your son's bicycling aches and pains, perhaps the advice I just offered to Shiela would be appropriate for you?
06/May/10 12:56 AM
oops. Am I too two late to do 22?
06/May/10 12:56 AM
Mornin' all.

06/May/10 1:00 AM
I've used the water alcohol mix, successfully, though I used "seal a meal" bags instead of "Zip-Locks".
06/May/10 1:00 AM
Nope, Plum. Looks like you were right on time.
06/May/10 1:01 AM
I really hate to use a bag of peas that way. (They do work well.) Peas are my favorite veggie.
06/May/10 1:03 AM
Got it, Plum.

True story...
A (usually intelligent) friend of mine was told by her doctor to ice her ankle. She was wrapping ice cubes in a towel and she told me it was messy. I suggested she use frozen peas. She called me to report that didn't work because the box didn't really conform to the area!
06/May/10 1:08 AM
In her defense, she was in pain, Kathy.
06/May/10 1:11 AM
Kathy. Forget the matches, I am bringing out the blowtorch!:

06/May/10 1:27 AM
Yes, trying to bend the box around her ankle was probably aggravating the injury, Jerry!
06/May/10 1:27 AM
The above because I sent the woman 5! yes, that's one, two, three, four, FIVE answers she tells me are "reasonable" and "will work." Then she tells me I still haven't got the answer!

I have OTHER things to do with my day!
06/May/10 1:29 AM
Plum is very prolific! lol

Anyone else want to give it a try?

How can paper burn without any damage?

on, people!
06/May/10 1:40 AM
Just in time?
06/May/10 1:47 AM
Yep!
06/May/10 1:47 AM
Okay, Kathy. Answer #6 is in your box.
06/May/10 2:03 AM
full house today -- they are tearing up the curb- in front of our home - tearing up the street and so we also are getting our driveway torn up too -- tree pick up also -- when it rains it pours --- so a mess this summer --- gas leak yesterday too -
06/May/10 2:08 AM
mary - just went to your website to offer condolances and got a huge laugh at your youtube!
06/May/10 2:16 AM
Plum.... I'll trade it all for my abscessed face and upcoming oral surgery. We have to drain loads of pus out before we can make an incision in the gum, chisel out bone and remove the infection and diseased bone.
06/May/10 2:22 AM
Mary, not Plum.
06/May/10 2:23 AM
Kathy.... My head is too infected to figure out a brainteaser like that.
