Almost didn't wake up today, Denny!
Went to a concert last night and went to bed late - even for me! (I'm a night owl.)
But seeing Diana Krall was worth it!

Good mAen, good people. This week's forecast is warming up as we glide toward the solstice. Saturday a high of 86F/30C and Sunday a high of 90F/32.8C. Summer is on our doorstep!

I have been looking around for a wood shelving unit for the storage room. I can't find anything with the right dimensions. It looks like I will be heading to Home Depot to buy the materials to build one. Probably best, at least I'll get the size I want.
08/Jun/17 6:41 AM
Full disclosure: I won't be building it, hubby will. Not that I'm not capable, but he loves doing that sort of thing. Who am I to argue?
08/Jun/17 6:44 AM
Morning all, great photo CynB.
Wouldn't like to be in Sydney this morning, heavy rain and flash flooding.
08/Jun/17 7:34 AM
Marjan, enjoy your day.
08/Jun/17 7:36 AM
Wow, another old photo from about 2008.
The scruffy white boat on the left is ours and the other one belonged to our neighbour who kindly came to the rescue of my hubby and son-in-law when they got stranded out in the bay with mechanical problems.

I don't mind that this weekend will be HOT, after all, it is summer, but I do mind that up until now it has been downright chilly. It will be in the
50s tonight (in the teens, Celcius), really absurd for June.
08/Jun/17 11:23 AM
I totally agree, Sarah - and you are far enough south, that you generally would be suffering from the heat by now... we keep switching from AC to furnace ...well, we haven't been near the AC in at least a week! It's been so shivery, I keep digging into the back of my closet where I've stashed my winter clothes for something warm & toasty to wear.......
08/Jun/17 12:22 PM
Good afternoon.
08/Jun/17 12:34 PM
We've had a week of minus temperatures in the morning, and some fog - but the days have been sunny even if a little chilly.
08/Jun/17 12:36 PM
I've just been crawling round the (tiled) floor spray basting a cot quilt.
08/Jun/17 12:38 PM
My knees hurt - a lot!
08/Jun/17 12:38 PM
Spray basting is lightly gluing the layers of the quilt together with a not too strong spray glue, so that they don't move when you're actually quilting the quilt.
08/Jun/17 12:41 PM
all!

Here are the last five paraprosdokians I had on my list.
13. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
14. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and
call whatever you hit the target.
15. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, any
more than standing in a garage More...
08/Jun/17 2:52 PM
If you want to read more presprosdokians, just Google the word. There are lots of repeats and generally speaking the quality deteriorates.
08/Jun/17 3:03 PM
Here we are at end of the page time. However, more significantly, if the Bulldogs lose tonight it will be end of the WORLD time.
