Maureen M - what a labor of love for you & your husband to make all those calendars for your family! I'll bet they are gifts that all your relatives look forward to receiving.

Phantom - glad you allowed yourself a night off. You do such a great job of reporting More...

Next year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur on the same day.
It is an ironic juxtaposition of events; one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

That would have been true if Bush was still president. Not now.

Amelia, postings are a time of great sadness and of great excitement - at the same time. Leaving old friends behind is no joke, but the compensation is the prospect of new challenges and new friendships.
We lived in 22 homes during the first 20 years of our married life.

G'day, Ian. Good to see you on these pages again. back.

You're absolutely right about the moves. We've have made so many friends over the years. Many of which we still keep in touch with. Regardless of what most people think, it's a great life.

Amelia,
I don't like losing good neighbours either.
The bad ones always seem to stick around.
I find the bad ones, like parasites, feed on annoying other people.
Here, I experience both good and bad.
Fortunately, the good outweighs the bad, although sometimes I think that the bad are so bad that they are life-threatening.
19/Dec/10 12:12 PM
By the way I don't believe I am at all a bad neighbour.

Kathy's strawberry link will work if you take out the space between 'for -best'. Should be 'for-best'.

There's a few 'Stottish Scrawberries' in that lot.

He's a Good Listener!
A man is pulled over by the police at midnight while driving and asked where he’s going.
“I’m on the way to listen to a lecture about the effects of alcohol and drug abuse on the human body,” he answered.
The policeman asks, “Really? And who’s going to give a lecture at this time of night?”
“My wife”, he answered.

Man's fairy tale . .
A man is dating a woman, “Marry me.” he asks.
“NO!” says the woman.
And he lived happily ever after.

Lovely sunny morning there, and now it's sunny here - but on the road in between there was a lot of rain.
