Has anyone heard from Hazel and Jamie lately?

Jamie said something about taking some papers to school one day and he has not returned. Hope it was not a kidnapping to get him back. Would that be man-napping?

Interesting discussion on health care today. I am sure the actual care in the USA is first rate but listening to the Thursday Jim Lehrer hour it seems the real villians are the health insurance industry who both in 1993 and now are doing everything in their power to scuttle any improvements for the More...

Home from work and heading for bed. Thanks, saylz, for posting a succint account of Australian Health System, I work in a public hospital. Sorry Jerry, I don't think you've absorbed the extensive comments on this site about health care. I hope you never get sick and poor.

Correction, not poor enough to qualify for free care

Helen, lets agree to disagree. I don't feel bigger government, more deeply involved in our personal lives is the answer, to any problem. The free market system works very well, without government intervention.
Also overlooked. The lawyers who make a lot of money, with medical lawsuits, while More...

A continuation of the past couple days' discussion on health care...

The American Medical Association has weighed in on the new Obama health care proposals:
