Late here because as I was waiting for the Sudoku day to start, I noticed that the computer desk needed dusting. That led to a lot more noticing and dusting! (I hate dusting!) All clean now!

Whoa! Lil bro had a lot of big news for me yesterday and early this morning! One he's finally going to get married (after 2 decades, raising his daughters, no help from his ex) and the restaurant they went to yesterday, had an active shooter! The SWAT ushered the diners to the back into the kitchen area where they waited a couple of hours until the situation was over.

The neat thing is his fiancee is influent in Spanish and we had a cool conversation and my brother had no idea of what was going on! We were laughing so hard as I explained my reasons for calling him a hard head (various head injuries, including his car bouncing on his head while he was working under it). Even better, my husband had a Spanish American grandmother (she has passed away but I loved her) and my bro's fiancee is Mexican American!

I am so excited for him!! Now for the wedding ideas. I wanted a destination wedding in Kaua'i at the Beach House restaurant. It's right on the beach where I've watched weddings on the grassy knoll on restaurant property where the guests can see the ocean backdrop and the food is excellent!

If there's anyone who's 'ga-ga' over Kaua'i it is Shosho & after hearing about her May visit there, she knows all there is to know & everyone assumes she's a native, so she gets all the perks as well! That lil bro better wise up & follow her lead!! What great news, Shosho!

No word from Wombat's daughter. I wrote to CP to see if she might be successful in obtaining local news.

On a grim expedition, I went searching for obituaries. The only ones I found were from several or many years ago. It turns out that Wombat's name is as common as mine, and there are four of me in my neighborhood. Apparently every woman who marries a man with my father's last name is obligated to name a daughter Sarah.

The Sarahs represent a wide spectrum of ages, so it's a long-held rule, for generations. I have no doctors with just one of me, so I have long since memorized my patient numbers to be able to distinguish myself. Office staff are not as attentive, so I have seen doctors who are looking at other Sarah's charts. Waiting for the orthopedist at one visit, I noted that on his computer screen I was just 19 years old and had broken a different bone. An eye doctor asked me when I had pictures taken of my retinas - I did not even know it was possible to photograph someone's retinas.

Maybe the good news is that Wombat and his daughter are on vacation together someplace where they are not reading email.

Especially since I wrote to CP, here is my CP.

from Texas. I have to be at school about 6 in the morning to get a quick Covid test - just to make sure that I am not infected. If so, it is going to be really bad with school going on. Our cases in the school district are much higher than at this time last year, yet we are doing nothing. Our state governor has basically made it impossible to do anything, so cases just keep going up and up. I am depressed and unhappy.

Since it has been almost four hours between posts, who knows when anybody will see mine?

Turns out my standing in parking space #22 post landed on #20 ... a ghost post, then I spaced it and didn't go on to claim what I should have. Ah well.

Yeah, Keith, I was wondering how I managed to use up your spaces. I counted several times to be sure I'd done that. Well, thanks for the rental!
Jamie, I saw your comment. Texas and Florida are in a competition for stupidest state in the United States. Stupid is only half of it - most dangerous to the rest of us, too!
