It is nice to see an updated picture of Liam, he has grown so much since the first one was posted. He looks so alert. And as you say, he has changed from this picture - they grow and change so fast! Keep sending in updated photos so we can all watch him grow. Hopefully Gath can post an updated picture occasionally, so we can all watch our Sudoku baby grow!
To Susan from Ingham, I agree with your comments about apathy. It is indeed frightening how many people believe the world owes them a free ride. About discipline in schools, short of expulsion, the worst punishment available is suspension which many of the problem students see as a reward. I More...

3:53 Good mAen! Spring is finally arriving in the frozen north - the first crocus bloomed in my gargen this morning!
Suzanne, My heart bleeds for you, and your are in my prayers. Always love yourself and try to have more joy in your life each day. I question why but have no answers. You have the power of the people who love you. Ride on their wings for a while. Be strong even when you think you can't bear the pain. The end of the tunnel may be a few steps away, don't give up now.

Love ?

Too slow to report today.
Who is Liam's hairdresser? That's quite a coif for such cutie!
My time was 2:14! A new personal best. The tip to start with 9 was the trick, I think. Hello, Liam! I talked to some folks from Canada today. In Florida, it is easy to spot the Canadians- they are wearing shorts when the temp is only 20C. After almost four years in Florida's heat, I need long sleeves till the temp hits 80F!
HOORAY!!!
Today's time was 2:37; first time under 3!!!

Plus, a new pic of Liam! Thanks for the updated info, Lisa.

Love those jokes, ap and Warren--

A rainy good Tuesday mAen to all!

Hi Ed Glad to see you back
Awwwwwwwww...Cute baby. I'm so tired. Even though it's the afternoon here. I did pretty bad. I'm not gonna post my time today.
Good mAen everyone. Just took a lunch break from working outside. Loved the joke AP. Listening to some of the kids these days, I think it is already being implemented. Hi Ed.
Suzanne, I could not find a comment to explain what is going on in your life that is troubling, but from a couple comments above, something is and my thoughts and good wishes are with you in this time.

I teach 7th grade math. I have found that 90 % of the problems I have are caused by 10% of my students. These are also the 10% who get all the media attention and headlines. My biggest problems are discipline and apathy. We are an old-fashioned school and still have corporal punishment, but More...
WOW 3:08 - am I getting better? Baby looks very intelligent, bright eyed and happy.
THANK YOU for being a caring, concerned educator!

I have several friends who are teachers, and they tell me horror stories of parents who blame the teacher when their children are failing, rather than making sure their kids are doing their homework and paying attention in class.

That would be great if you find that info and want to post it. If I hear back from Denise before you do, I'll let you know to save you the trouble.
The falling Education standards. Dicipline. It's all been sad before. You get to the senior years of highschool in Australia, and the pressure on these teenagers is immense. When I was in my final year of high school, we would be expected to do 2 hours of homework a day, and we all would be lucky More...
And I especially get sick of teachers expecting parents to educate their kids
