Three cowboys were hanging out in the bunkhouse. "I know that smart aleck Tex," said the first. "He's going to start bragging about that new foreign car he bought as soon as he gets back."
"Not Tex," the second cowboy replied. "He'll always be just a good ol' More...

Add to the list of "wonders" accomplished today:

Taught Little Plum "shortcut" multiplication in only 5 problems. She has now mastered the ins and outs of multiplication (MUCH better than I did at her age) and is ready for division. She baked a batch of cookies in More...

The cigarette case, when it arrives, causes Fred some consternation and Fregernon much glee. Fred seems to have forgotten that the case bears an inscription from “little Dorie” to “her dear Uncle Fred.” Fregernon forces Fred to explain what the inscription means, and Fred admits his name isn’t More...

Shiela - Um, actually I didn't get my usual 20 ounces. My daughter came home and drank half the pot. So, I only had 1 reg. sized mugful.
It also helps that I'm in the part of the month when I'm using progesterone cream. That may be TMI, but it's a world of difference. I've signed on as a More...

Fiona, had a great day yestereday with the IWB stuff - now I have to find the time to make the specific resources I want! Our little school (about 100 kids) has a whitebord for every classroom. We have a wonderful P & C (P & F?) who have bought us 2, and our Education Department is supplying others through different grants. They are amazing!

such a nice day here - have our Halloween/Fall bowling party this morning - and the weather was great and so enticing - that I went for a hike - our colors were really at peak this past weekend - but still some great color still to enjoy - they say bad weather is coming - but hope the trick or treaters will have a nice day.

Come on over, Mariane. You can bring a didgeridoo. We could use some dinner music.
30/Oct/09 7:14 AM

Well, this won't revile Jim creepy crawlies, but it will get you in the Halloween mood I hope. Enjoy the "Monster Mash" and party hardy!
30/Oct/09 8:17 AM

Congrats for the personal best.
Dinner sounds great BTW.

2:30 Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

No man can tell whether he is rich or poor by turning to his ledger. It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has.

Quick hello, and quicker goodbye - for now. Catch you later!

I remember the last time I sewed a Halloween costume for my younger son - a Ninja Turtle, Michaelangelo I recall. Broke my sewing machine trying to sew the batting into the satin shell! Same year I sewed a princess outfit for my niece.

Vici, how do you drink a hot beverage when you are upside down? You are very talented.
30/Oct/09 9:43 AM
Glinda, that's why we have sippy travel mugs so the coffee doesn't pour all over ourselves.
30/Oct/09 9:56 AM
Glinda - I'm afraid I don't quite have the hang of it yet...got a mob of it up my snout!
Victoria - thanks for the clue - I'll pick up a travel mug!
Andre - I'm having the most wonderful time...I've totally fallen in love with the bush and it's creatures! The bird song is overwhelming!
30/Oct/09 9:59 AM
So good to hear from you, Vici, and know you're trip is going well. Say hello to everybody for me. Will I be able to Skype into the Halloween party?
30/Oct/09 10:13 AM
Mother Nature or Father Nature?

1:56 Good morning all. I'm sure I can see a cat in that tree near the bird's nest!

Vici - glad to hear you're enjoying yourself.

The upside-down coffee mug was developed by NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, for those not of the U.S. persuasion) at the cost of a mere $168 million. They are working on one that works sideways now, part of the economic stimulus package...

Part of the More...
