I've had two hardware in food incidents. I found a bolt in a can of asparagus and a screw in my onion rings at a restaurant. Definitely prefer the obvious hardware to glass. That could have ended badly.

I got glass in my lasagna in a NYC restaurant. They offered to bring me another serving. I opted for a bottle of wine instead! All I could think was how would they expect the other pieces not to have glass?

I'm off to watercolor class. The class has been switched to mornings. Not fond of that idea, but at least daylight savings is now working in my favor!

I'm sure glad I can't remember getting glass or metal in any of my foods. I can remember getting some plastic, but it was small enough that it wouldn't harm me if swallowed.

I once had a ''lasagna surprise'' at a restaurant, too. A rubber band.

♪♪ Never smile at a crocodile....♪♪

''The Saltwater crocodile’s instinct to lunge and mouth anything that comes within range of its powerful jaws might help explain the odd assortment of items that have been found inside the stomach. Amongst the bones of a dog, there was a football, a nappy and a small pair of shorts.''

Way back when I was a kid, I remember my father pouring a very crispy, cooked and coated cricket out with his Wheaties. He carefully boxed it up and sent it in to General Mills with a letter suggesting they should count their vice presidents to see if any were missing. They sent back a large box More...

Good morning to all! That's one of Fi's classic pictures!
07/Nov/14 3:01 AM
Heck Keith, Wheaties with cooked crickets would have been a delicacy in some countries, and the box would have been four or five times more expensive then what your Dad paid!
