Dottie - live about 20 miles west of Philly. My husband's family lived in Berea, OH, and we lived in KC, MO for many years, so know that area quite well. 'They' say we are supposed to get the worst of it tomorrow, just in time to wash out the US Open! And a month from now we will all want rain....

We had storms here too, last night. There is also a report of a winter tornado. I did not think that they could occur in winter! There was a fantastic lightning photo on the weather report. 4 lightning bolts & what they are calling the winter tornado.

Oh yes, Incy wincy spider just got washed down the spout again, just as my washing was getting close to dry. Can I claim warranty on the 'solar' clothes dryer?
13/Jun/13 1:38 PM
Grass-hopper - If you can figure out who or where to file your solar claim, then feel free! I'm sorry your clothes are all wet again, though.

They just lifted the tornado warning for my side of town. But it's still wicked out over the lake and moving slightly east.

The storm bow has reformed over Ohio back into Indiana. Probably dangerous winds in Cleveland etc. plus hail. A situation which could turn tornadic, but probably more in the Dayton to Columbus area and back into Muncie.

It seems to this Aussie, as though this is a particularly bad year for tornadoes in the USA?
And Grasshopper, I was not aware that we had them in
Aussie ? I know we get hurricanes, but tornadoes ?
13/Jun/13 5:50 PM
That was how they were referring to it on the NEWS. I think that a Hurricane forms over water & tornado over land. (I stress the 'I think' though it does stress the brain cell)

My patio was sort of finished yesterday but they have to replace a sheet or two because they had buckles in, which I pointed out to them.
