Just got back from Jekyll Island. Jaime decided to join me, so we loaded the pickup truck with all my beach toys, and off we went! The weather was perfect. SUNNY all day and temps in the mid 80s.

Good afternoon to all! It looks like the photographer on this boat was moored and preparing to bed down for the night. If not, it would be a lovely place to stop for an evening.

Gosh Ian, you seem to be a bit of a clock watcher!

Two smart fellows were in a pub. They called the pubs owner over and asked him to settle an argument.
'Are there two pints in a quart or four?", asked one.
"There be two pints in a quart, confirmed the owner.
They moved back along the bar and soon the barmaid asked for their More...

Happy Sunday all!
This has been a great day for me...After a very nice church service, I went to breakfast with a friend from my school days, who currently lives in Florida and was here celebrating her father's 99Th birthday. We had a great visit and catch up, albeit far too short, but so More...

Morning all!

Lovely winter day here today. I'm dropping the kids off at the movies this morning. One is seeing Terminator 3, the other Hannah Montana. I will be seeing how much I enjoy a quiet cup of coffee...

2:09 Hi to all. Beautiful photograph.

Thought for the Evening:

You have to open your mind to every new experience. This week I've been practising sneezing with my eyes open.

A bit of a fnast moment I guess...

I usually just post birthday greeting on people's pages, but since it is Judy's (OK) special 70th birthday tomorrow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!

Today was a very poignant day here, it was 'Race For Life' Day. Raising money for Cancer Research in the UK. The race was 5k. So many people attended, walking, wheelchaired and, when able, running. The events have been/are happening all over the UK at various times and venues. It is a such a worthy cause, close to my heart, and can affect us all. I'm glad I could be a part of it today.

Had to read that twice André...the first time I read it as a very PREGNANT day here!

Good on all who contributed to the cause.

Suzy - I got a kick out of your comment about your kids seeing different movies & you seeing how much you enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee. Very clever way to put it!

A Hi-Tech Prayer

As I boot up my PC,
my modem dialing next to me,
I ask the Lord, give me a sign....
Will I ever get on-line?????
If you'd kindly let me through,
I'll byte no more than I can chew.
I'll surf the waves amid the Net,
with my mouse, my loyal pet.
And More...

Glad you noticed, Greg. I can see that there's no point in trying to get anything past you, no matter how much I might try.

During one of the many wars that the French and the British fought and the French usually lost, the French just happened to capture a British Major. An officer brought the Major to the French general for interrogation. The French general began ridiculing the Major for wearing "that stupid More...

220 years ago, French revolutionaries stormed the Bastille prison in Paris. On July 14, 2009, we will take over the Liberty Hotel in Boston!

This is for your benefit Ian. I am a little surprised that there hundreds of Francophiles in all the USA let alone Boston. Why are Francophiles More...

Sayyyyy... You might have something there, Kathy.

I can guarantee I'm in Tasmania and I'm almost sure Ian is in Boston. I use my nom de guerre because early on I could not get my surname as an email address on Hotmail. They seemed to think I was trying to sell something. All my kids have had the same trouble and all use their two given names.
Perhaps he's eating his evening meal while I'm having lunch.
