Oops! And Happy VDay to everyone this side of the dateline. Just looked back to yesterday's version of VDay and noted a number of familiar, er, faces(?) (Arachnid, Wombat, Mr.Cee, Peter) missing from action. Hope it was just a case of chocolate overindulgence and everything else was okay. 15/Feb/20 12:10 AM |  |

 I dedicate that last post to Keith!! 15/Feb/20 7:49 AM |  |
Just came home from Math/Science Fun day at my former school. Funny hardly any behavioral problems and rapt attention. Why not? Don't we all have a hankering to see what a mess we'd make if we didn't put a lid atop the pot we're popping popcorn? Well we found out and measured far a popcorn would pop! 15/Feb/20 7:52 AM |  |
For your info, we found most popcorn could pop within a three foot perimeter although we did have those that popped more than four feet away! Did you know that a popcorn kernel can expand 30 times its original size? 15/Feb/20 7:55 AM |  |
And in 1948, scientists found that there is carbon dating evidence that people were eating popcorn 5,600 years ago in New Mexico! 15/Feb/20 7:57 AM |  |
Overcast today, but a very comfortable temperature and we are continuing to have regular showers and the possibility of storms, not with hail pleaseWe had a good response to our out and in puzzle, with an even dozen, but there is always room for more. Check out the answers, and I'm sure you More... 15/Feb/20 10:33 AM |  |
Good news for the quizzers. Peter has agreed to post the puzzles whilst I am away. When I told him his acceptance speech was a bit like the Oscars - a little bit of politics (what did you do Phantom?). lots of emotion and some tears. I think it's the first thing he's won in his life, 15/Feb/20 11:01 AM |  |
Whoa Tom - you missed me!!! First time ever I've been missed. All OK, it's just how the day panned out. No Valentines occurence though. If that happened she would think I was having a bit on the side 15/Feb/20 11:04 AM |  |
 Judy, Lots more to come I hope 15/Feb/20 11:07 AM |  |
Oh Judy. Your post means so different to us old Navy people 15/Feb/20 11:08 AM |  |
Happy Birthday a day early, Judy! Note to others: Judy's birthday is not Valentine's Day. Birthdays are reported in eastern hemisphere time. Judy lives in the other hemisphere. 15/Feb/20 11:13 AM |  |
not just to old navy people! practically anyone past puberty would understand that greeting with a rather different concept in mind. 15/Feb/20 11:16 AM |  |
Actually, Judy lives in another dimension ... Yes, the greeting was intentional ... Thanks all for the Birthday Greetings! We will celebrate with the whole family on Monday, everyone having that day off so we can share a birthday holiday with the Father of Our Country! 15/Feb/20 12:05 PM |  |
 Judy. 15/Feb/20 12:26 PM |  |
Then, Judy, that greeting was very naughty 15/Feb/20 12:40 PM |  |

It would appear that my fear of abusing peoples sensibilities with a comment about Judy's post, was ill founded... 15/Feb/20 1:33 PM |  |
