Does anyone else have the problem of clicking a certain page number on the list, and it goes to p.1 instead? At first I thought it must have been my mistake, but it happens quite often.
Cylone Monica is heading west towards Cape York Peninsula (Northeast Australia) and is possibly going to More...
Hi Mary from Southern Ontario - Haven't posted for a while; busy in the garden. Hope everything is fine with you.
I know it's not the right bird, but just brought back an old school days song.
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Merry Merry King of the bush is he
Laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra
Gay your life must be
(I hope I remembered the words correctly), if not, someone is sure to let me know!!!
♪♪♪Give me a home among the gum trees
With lots of rum please♪♪♪
..can't remember the rest of the take on that song..too late at night for the old brain
SUSAN from Ingham. It happens to me if I press the page number on the bottom of the page, so I always go to the top of the page to get the correct number, otherwise it automatically goes back to page 1
Verse 2
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Eating all the gum leaves he can see
Laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra
Kookaburra, leave some there for me.
Today seemed awfully easy. I got it wrong
Aah, thanks Anne. I didn't make the connection.
I put one too many kookas in Verse 2 - delete last one, line 3. Off to bed now, 12.45 am
Susan..that happens to me occassionally. (Ihave an extra letter in there somewhere) It happens when I look at the archive and while looking at page 7, I try to go to page 6 and it refreshes to page 1. Anne, that may be it for me, can't say for sure without trying.
This happens to me only when I try to go to a previous page from the last page listed on comments. So if there are 5 pages of comments, and I'm on 5 and click on 4 (for instance) it always takes me back to 1. Makes me wonder if they're on some kind of loop (?).
Susan - I'm waiting for the third verse
4:42 Very slow today. Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

Geometry holds clues for the meaning of life; look and you will see the sines.
good maen all in sudokuland
Col...re your math problem from last night on page 8. The innkeeper actually decided to give the 3 guests back $10. The bellhop only gave them $3 to make it even and kept $1. So, the 3 guests paid $7 each making it $21. $21 + $10 = $31. That is where the extra $1 is.
Well, it doesn't look as if we are going to hear the third verse, so it's bed for me.
Good night everyone. zzzzzzzzzzzz
Best ever - 1.41. We don't get birds like that here in Somerset, more's the pity!!
Mary had a little lamb
He had a sooty foot
And everywhere that Mary went
His sooty foot he put
2'25. G'Maen, all.

Anne, I used to sing that song as a kid, too. Those are the words I remember.
2:48--Hi, birdie! :D What a cute picture!
I really should apologize, but hey....

Mary had a little lamb,
The doctor fainted!
Mary had a little car
and it was painted red.
Everywhere that Mary went,
the cops picked up the dead.

Thats the one I remember. Playground rhymes to jump rope to. Had forgotten the peanut one, Warren.
Oh how about....

Mary had a little lamb,
the doctor was surprised,
But when old McDonald had a farm,
you should have seen his eyes.
7:59 terrible time but made a mistake and persevered until the picture appeared. Jaz did you go straight to bed or did do the puzzle first?
There you go, off on a tangent again!
Always looking at in from a different angle Warren lol :)
Warren & ceecee......
I'm off for the day.....see you tonight
looking at 'it' not 'in' silly me!
Warren, I love them! Got anymore?
Somebody please help me get my chicken out of the tree.
2:21 and tied with Hugh from Glasgow. Nice to be in good company. Pretty bird--we get sparrows and robins, an occasional blue jay or cardinal if we're lucky.
3:41 sweet... good Maen to all.
For those who don't want to go back to the archives. Here is Col's original math problem....
Three fellows were visiting from another country and decided to stay at the Ritz Hotel. They asked how much the room would cost and were told $30.00. That's not bad said one of the fellows, it's only More...
Timer 00:05:36
Mary had a little lamb
It's fleece was black as charcole
And every time it jumped a fence
You could see it's flamin' ********
Enough groaners from me today. Let others add.
Good Maen!
The third verse (from my childhood):
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Counting all the monkeys he can see
Stop Kookaburra! Stop Kookaburra!
That's not a monkey, that's me!
3:28 Beautiful bird.
