Yup, I'm sitting here in my running clothes hoping that the rain will stop long enough for me to get a run in. But the forecast is for rain all day!

I'm getting a little antsy and want to run! I guess you might say I'm addicted to running! I am not going to be fun to be with until I can run off some of this energy. Darn, I'm soooo like my ADHD students. I used to have them run just before they got into class in the morning and when they would get unbearable. Usually it would calm them down and they so looked forward to that break!

Just to let you know they weren't all boys! I would seat them at the back of the room so that when they needed to get up and walk around, they could do so with out distracting the rest of the class. Just so long as they could do a fair amount of work and show on tests that they were learning, I just let them be.

Also to let you know, I taught a gifted and high achievement class for the last 17 years of my career. I had the whole gamut of student behavior and achievements because each child was gifted differently than the rest! I've known a few bikers, my brother and son as well, and have ridden a small motorcycle by myself! But I wouldn't call myself a biker even though I did enjoy the ride. Was gone a bit too long, and my cousins were about to start a search party for me when I finally came home. They had visions of their city cousin crashed up somewhere on the long country roads!
