Kheoni is an Arabian that I rescued around Christmas last year. She was 1 week from death from starvation. She had been severely beaten until she lost the sight in her left eye, and she has hideous scars on her. She's only 16 but she is now retired from all work. It's taken time, but she has finally learned to trust me and is getting affectionate. Yesterday, Kheoni colicked while the farrier was here. So we caught it really quickly, got the Vet out, and she's doing great.
