Pineapple Conure

The newest addition to my menagerie is a Pineapple Conure. That's a color mutation of the Green Cheeked Conure. Now I need to find her a mate.

Are you sure he is a he?
When we had a conure we were told that the only way to find out the gender was to have it DNA tested.

I'm NOT sure it's a he. You're right that both genders look identical. But males tend to be more outgoing (probably because of the work they put in to attract a female) and this conure is very outgoing.

I love the way you've taken the photo against a pineapple, and it really shows the reason the bird has been given that name. Are the breast feathers actually edged in white/cream as they appear in the photo ?
