Interesting correlation - as the moon has an effect on tides why not unstable edges of tectonic plates on the planet?

The related USGS data is under constant revision, which includes both updating magnitude estimates for past earthquakes and additions of most recent, seismic events. I have (15th January 2009) checked out any changes in their data since the above article was prepared and written and can confidently state that revision has strengthened the above-reached conclusions.
