Point Danger, NSW / Qld Border, Southern Gold Coast July 2017.

At a headland with reefs offshore 3Km south, Captain Cook also used the name Pt. Danger first given to it by the Portuguese in the 1500’s. The Tweed Valley to the left of modern Pt. Danger defines the border for 60km inland. To its right is the world’s best artificial surf break used in the world tour. It’s quality is the result of the pumping of sand from the white pier to the base of Pt. Danger. The Commonwealth Games Beach Volleyball will be held on this sand below the tallest buildings.
